Thinking of going on my second cruise ever…on the Vision of the Seas (7 night West Caribbean).

My first cruise was without kids on Radiance of the Seas, his time, the kids will be coming.

How does Vision compare to Radiance in terms of size and things to do onboard?

Also, I get the impression that Vision is one of RCL’s smaller ships, what would there be to occupy an 11, 9, and 6 year old?

It is smaller.

My 10 year old son had a fine time on Vision. Had fun at Adventure Ocean, joined in some activities (he's a dancer and he enjoyed some of the dance activities which thrilled a couple dance-partnerless), played videogames....

We had one of the new panoramic ocean view rooms off the centrum so it was easy to peek out to see if the scheduled activity there was something he wanted to do.
