We were granted a FABULOUS dream!

Congratulations on this wonderful surprise from Disney. I am glad the pixie dust found you and your family. I hope you had a wonderful trip. You and your mom are in my prayers.

What an amazing dream!!! Congrats to your whole family. I personally think it was divine intervention as well! Blessings to you for being a wonderful caretaker as well!:goodvibes

I'm all choked up over your free tickets & other dreams! That is soooo amazing! How lucky for you!

Congrats to you and your family!!! I hope that the trip was just the respite and family time you needed (and deserve). :hippie:

Just back from 9 days at Disney.... At check in, desk couldn't "read" our left over ('99) tickets to see how many days were left and told us to go to any park and ask Guest Services.

The next morning, we headed to Animal Kingdom. Waited in GS line, and then spent about 20 minutes while the CM tried to figure out how how tickets got messed up. Anyway, after everything was straightened out, he said we each had one day left and printed new passes. Then my husband and I decided to go whole hog and get the 6 day park hoppers with Water Parks and more so we could go wherever we wanted with our 2 sons for the other days. With a gulp, I got out the Credit Card to pay the 1200+ for the passes.

The CM tells my sons "Patience is a virtue that is always rewarded" and gave them fast passes for all the FP rides at AK for the whole family. We thought that was so nice. THEN... he proceeds to tell my husband and I that Disney is making Dreams come true for their guests this year and our park passes would be COMPLIMENTARY!!! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! Let me tell you we sure enjoyed the week, knowing that Disney picked up the tab.

We also were given a behind (actually, above) the scenes tour at The Living Seas by a CM, a VIP pass to Fantasmic at MGM guest services, and several times guests passes on their FP when we were walking through the park.

This trip was a respite for me as I am the caretaker of my Mom who has ALS. I'm not sure if it was a divine intervention, but it certainly was a dream vacation that my whole family will never forget!:cutie:

Like you I am the primary caregiver of our 88 year old grandmother and seriously disabled father in law. We wound up being upgraded from a value resort to SSR!! with a jacuzzi in the room!! I know that it happened to alot of other people because of the need to free up more value rooms, but it couldn't have happened to a much needier woman... i just don't know if I'll be able to leave that jacuzzi! Congrats on your dream.... from one caregiver to another you really deserved it!

Amazing! I don't know you but I am SO happy for you! My mom also has ALS so I know EXACTLY what you are experiencing and sometimes...we are blessed in the most unexpected ways! I hope you all were able to recharge your batteries! Best Wishes, Cindy

WOW WOW and WOW. I am so happy for you and your family. I'm even happier to see that finally someone was rewarded for teaching their children manners and someone noticed. Congrats to you.

By the way did you take the $1200 you were going to spend on the tickets and GO SHOPPING?????????????? I surely would have convinced DH into that. And that would have been my DREAM!!!

My husband and I and our 9 month old son just got a dream granted as well. We were about to buy our one day passes at animal kingdom and when I took out the credit card to pay the man behind the counter (Doug) said that Disney world would like to grant us a wish since this is the year of a million dreams. He gave me back my credit card right away and gave my husband and I two 4 day complimentary park hopper passes!!! We were shocked, so taken back and yet truly appreciative!! Disney made it so magical for us. WE are forever grateful.

That is just amazing, I'm sure you had a wonderful week! Huge hugs to you and your Mom :grouphug: it's an awful disease. My BIL passed on Easter after his fight with ALS.
