Where does ship dock in Freeport? Anyone been to Port Lucaya?

We're planning our 4 day Wonder trip in July and we should be stopping in Freeport. Does anyone know where the ship docks? Is it at Port Lucaya? Anyone ever been there?

This is our first time at Freeport and we probably won't plan any Freeport excursions. Any tips on what to do?

I did the Lucayan Beach day, it was wonderful there...it was about 20 minutes or so from where the ship docks (sorry can't recall where it docked though)...I would rather get off the boat in Freeport than Nassua, it was horrible there.

You can very easily get a cab for $5 per person to the Port Lucaya area. The cab takes you to the shop area but you can just walk across the street to go to the beach area. The cabs we encountered were vans and the drivers don't go until they are full. When we got off the ship, there were many other people doing the same thing and we got underway immediately. On the way back, we had to wait 5-10 minutes until it filled up.

If you have any DD's interseted in hair braiding it was the least expensive there. Go the reverse shopping way into the main square....there was a small hut serving drinks in coconuts right there. The lady there is in charge of all the other women. She is there to catch you before you are about to leave. The price went down as we did the circle. We spent 20.00 per head for DW and 2 DD's.
