:scratchin Keep thinking...not BW or the BW Villas...:tink:

I am pretty sure all the deluxe have been asked: GF GFV BW BWV BC YC CR BLT POLY AKL WL WLV Swan Dolphin. And these moderates: CB CS PO. The only ones left that are not value resorts are Key West and Saratoga Springs and I am not sure what category those are. Is it either of those?

Beach Club Villas?

:rotfl: ... and Old Key West it is! :dance3: Both are DVC resorts and classified as Deluxe. This is DD's picture from their stay at OKW last summer. :dance3:

New one for the middle of the week; not looking forward to the weekend this week. Texas is suppose to experience excessive DUST from an Africian dust storm that has made it's way across the ocean! :headache: Weather people are recommending that anyone BOTHERED BY ALLERGIES :headache: STAY INDOORS!

Park, resort or other?

A dust storm from Africa? That's a new one for me. I've never hear of that happening before.

WEATHER
African dust blows into Houston this weekend: How it could impact your health

By Travis Herzog
Wednesday, June 27, 2018 12:46PM
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) --
A large dust cloud from Africa's Sahara Desert is moving toward Texas. As of Wednesday, the projection of the cloud could be seen stretching into the southeastern Gulf.

So what does it mean for you?

Travis says most of these fine dust particles will stay suspended thousands of feet above ground, turning the sky a hazy gray. For most of you, that's the only difference you'll notice, but some of you may encounter respiratory issues.

A portion of this microscopic dust, known as particulate matter, does reach the ground and can penetrate deep into our lungs. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, studies have also shown chemical contaminants and microorganisms can also survive the trek across the Atlantic, but few studies have been conducted on the impact to human health.

Sensitive individuals with asthma, allergies, and other lung conditions may notice flare ups over the weekend, especially after prolonged outdoor exposure. If you are concerned about the impact to your health, consider limiting your time outside over the weekend.

Travis says the dust cloud will thin out starting Sunday, with noticeable improvements by July 4th as Gulf moisture generates thunderstorms to help clean out the air.

There is a seasonal cycle to when African dust clouds can reach Houston. Travis says they normally track through our sky in May, June, and July.:tink:

That's a good question Terri! :confused3 250 pages used to be the limit...hopefully a moderator will respond but I wouldn't wait. I don't recall any other thread with over 1000 pages. I'll text Ed this evening; maybe he knows. If we need to start another thread we can carry a crop over. ::yes:: :tink:

I don't think they cut any threads off anymore. I have seen threads larger than ours. Let's keep this one going until they say to start a new one.

And Diane, Karolyn tells me that there is a 3 hour window to meet in HS before your dinner at 5pm. That does not give all of us a lot of time to ride the balloon. So I have a cooler that will be filled with Margaritas. If you start drinking early in the morning you should be good by 2 :lmao:

Didn't I tell you he had the PERFECT margarita "glass"? :lmao::rotfl2::lmao: I'll check our AK fastpass plans for that day and see if we can meet up with you earlier! :tink:

That's just crazy:crazy:

I know...Redstorm will have all kinds of interesting things to study in her meteorology classes. :rotfl: Actually this doesn't look TOO bad; I remember one year it was awful and it lasted about 5 days. This is only suppose to effect us for a couple of days and there's a possibility of rain showers on both days also which may cut down on the "dusty smell". Allergy doctors are saying to limit outdoor time drastically though...:tink:

We experienced that dust while on our cruise. Was really thick on Hati & at San Juan. Made for some cool pictures. Had almost a eclipse effect on the sun.
