So - here's an overview. I realized earlier this week that I have less than a month to use some Southwest travel credit. A weird combination of things meant that I almost booked a flight last night/this morning to go today - but when I went to search for some of my stuff from the last trip, I didn't find what I wanted in time to really maximize going. BUT ... I found 325 dollars in unspent gift cards from the trip (I was already thinking of going for the day - a nice breakfast somewhere I liked, hanging around and taking pictures at resorts or riding the Skyliner which I didn't get to do in either of my last two trips, etc and then flying back late).
Other than it being spontaneous and feeling sort of weird - why not go? I'd have to pay parking at the airport (9 dollars) and the Mears Connect seems to be the cheapest for me. Otherwise, flight is covered (I'd use some of my points but I don't really see flying anywhere on the horizon any time soon). This is sort of crazy though, right? Would you go? What would you do (sadly, many of the things I'd like seem off limits - I got injured recently which means I can't do things like a hot tub or kayak, which seemed like great non-park options). I didn't take any "real" photos my past two trips because I didn't take my camera - but for one day only and no bags, I probably would. I don't think I'd buy a ticket to the parks - just a little too high for me to go ... ... although ... gift cards ... (yes I'm aware of park reservations, in case that comes up for anyone).
