Year of Million Dreams -- anyone else get something yet? Post your wishes won here!

We just returned from 6 day stay. We have three kids under 5 the little one turned two the first day of our trip. We were told we most likely would not get a trundal bed on riverside. We got the bed the building and floor we requested. Then later in the trip the baby was given a pretzel by a cast member in Germany. You would have though she was given gold. She marched around showing her father, brother, and sister. Later in the trip my son was given a ice cream by a cast member. Then on the last day my son was picked for jeti training. We kept telling him it most likely wouldn't happen. I don't go to the show because I didn't want to see him so unhappy when he wasn't picked. Well he showed me the tape. Not to mention the countless other little things other little things from taking pictures for us, to giving up seats on the bus. The trip was a real dream come true.

We got lucky and won a double dream coming off the Safari in AK last week on Thursday morning. We hit the ride just after rope drop and might have been on the 5th truck to leave the station. After we pulled in the truck in front of us, ours and the truck behind us all got both fast passes and Ears! It was a great addition to have on our second to last day of the trip. :cool1:

We were there in September and we got Dream FP's at One Man's Dream at HS around 9:30am. Then a couple days later in Epcot we won them walking thru Innoventions around 10:30. We also had a magical moment at Epcot, we were the first family of the day at the Character Spot and got our picture made with all of the characters, it was awesome! (The pic is below in my signature). It was a wonderful trip, every trip just gets better! :goodvibes

Not sure if the first qualifies as a dream, but it sure was to us -- We didn't have to pay for our refrigerator. I told the CM that it wasn't being used for medical purposes but she said, don't worry about it -- no charge!

We were also fortunate enough to be the family to open the LTT on our first day at MK. We got to ring the bell and read an announcement that LTT was open for business. We were given a Certificate and a big bag of pixie dust! It was wonderful. My mom hadn't been to Disney since 1980 and it was just so magical that that happened for us and her!

My boyfriend and I received dream Mickey ears after coming off of Killamanjaro Safari on Thursday.:goodvibes

Not really a wish granted, but at a garage sale in my neighborhood last week, I bought two unopened 2008 Lanyard and Pin sets on Saturday for 50 cents each. :goodvibes

Ok...I think this is awesome that some of you have won wishes.

What I'm wanting to know though is how DOES it work exactly?

I am so jealous that we are not going this year and will miss out on the Year of a Million Dreams.

My family (me, DH and 4YO DD) stayed at Fort Wilderness 10/26-11/1/08. The first night we were there, we went to the campfire singalong. We were sitting on the front row, as we had gotten there super early, and a very nice cast member approached us. He asked if we were aware of the YOMD, we told him we were, and he advised us that as part of the YOMD, they wanted us to come backstage and have a meet and greet with Chip n Dale. We were the ONLY ONES! We got several minutes with Chip n Dale; DD was able to play with them, we took a lot of pictures, and then we got to escort them to the stage and were introduced to the crowd! DD cried because she was so happy. It was such a wonderful way to start our first trip to WDW...and it was something I'll never forget. I took over 800 pictures that week...and my favorite one is DD escorting Chip n Dale down to the stage - she is between them, each one holding her hand. Magical!

Is this still going on??

We were at WDW in January of this year for 9 days and never once saw YOMD CM's once.... I hope we see them on our upcoming trip...:wizard:

This past Sept. we were showered with Dreams. The week before we were to leave for our trip, we received a call from Disney saying that everyone in our Grand Gathering had been given an upgrade to either OKW or SSR. My family was given a GV at OKW.
On our second day at the parks we were approached as we were heading onto the safari and were given a private safari ride, just for the 8 of us.
And on our fifth day, we were awarded an extra hour in the MK after the park closed.
I believe in magic!!!!

We were there in February and got 'dreamed' a couple of times (dream fastpasses in norway, family of the day in garden grill, tinkerbell one to keep one to give pins in DHS)
Hope they are still around this time!

We have been twice during the YOMD and won both times. 1st we were getting on dumbo and we were given Lanyards and last year we were in line for Jungle cruise and we were given a fast past.
We see what comes our way this time, here's hoping.

It is still going on, but sadly, is due to end Dec. 31st in preparation for the new "Celebration" promotion. We didn' receive any dreams in the parks this Sept. but DD9 did receive a very special "Magical Moment" at Kona Cafe. She was chosen to make her own dessert along with the staff. She said that it was very special, better than winning a hat!

We were lucky enough to win Dream fast passes in Jan. 2007 after getting off Thunder Mountain. It was our last day in the parks and I got all teary eyed at receiving them. It was a great end to a great trip.

Today at AK, my wife walked up to a trash can to throw away something and a dream member was standing there and ask her if she would like a fast pass to the festival of the lion king, she gave us the pass, a certificate, and badges that made us honarary citzens of wdw.

We still have 3 days of magic left so maybe more to come!

we were in Epcot Saturday coming over from the Boardwalk entrance, it was around 1030am and we won passes for an extra magic hour in the park.. after Illuminations. They had rides open and a DJ in front of Mission space with characters dancing with the crowd.
it was a great way to KICK off the vacation
On Wednesday in the Studios we asked a green army man to have a photo op and after he handed us all fast passes for the Toy Story ride!!:cool1:

This past September I went to WDW for the second time in my life. (The first time I was 4, and we only went to MK. Anyways...) I went with my die-hard Disney friends, and on our last day we went to AK and won Dream FP! Here's how it happened:

When we entered the park we headed straight to Dinosaur. After riding it once (and having the scare of my life when it stopped for several seconds...in the pitch dark...but with all the sounds still going...at the part right before the very end...get the picture?) being the psychos we are we decided to ride again since the line was (very) short (walked right on twice).

When we entered the preshow room I noticed a couple of CM standing by the doors leading to the rest of the wait area. They weren't there the first time. I was curious but didn't think much about it. After the preshow the doors opened, but the CM stopped us from exiting. They congratulated us for being winners and gave us each a Dream FP for AK!

My friends and I had been hoping upon all hope that we would win something, and we did! It was very exciting! Not only did this happen, but later that day at MK we got a surprise FP from the Peter PF for Philharmagic! Our last day at Disney was very "magical"! Fabulous!
