You have a friend in me; Chicago Gino's DIS meet pictures/sound

several meet threads (seems so appropriate) (and most do enjoy the sound) but, if

<p><b>Well, finally, another DIS meet here in Chicago. Seems like it's been a
lifetime since our last, I can't even recall when it was (maybe old age, LOL)</b></p>
<p><b>Anyhow, a group of DIS'ers were coming to Chicago this weekend from several
locations around the country, to share a couple days in The Windy City, so what
better reason to have the Spring Chicago DIS meet while they were in town, and
have a BIG group of DIS'ers, as they say, 'the more the merrier'!!</b></p>
<p><b>With the usual planning, promotion and co-operation from everyone, the meet
came off just great, lots of people (and some new to the DIS meet scene too),
moms and dads, kids, good food, lots of laughs, story telling and sharing, lots
of note comparing from all those on various diets...Atkins, WW, SB, or just good
old fashioned sensible eating (sure are a lot of dieting
DIS'ers and everyone is looking just great) and even a birthday, plus an
announcement (I'll save that till the end).</b></p>
<p><b>With that, as Mickey would say, 'On with the show...................'</b></p>

East</a>, I think they decided to feature Lime Green Gino's shirts in their
showcase.</b></p>

<p><b>One of the great things about Gino's, beside the food, is that you can write
and do art work on any and all of their walls (they actually encourage it,
tradition). I know December 99's DD, Brittany, smiling on left here, always leaves
her artwork behind (we'll see later). And smiling there on the right there is NancyIL,
who rarely misses any of the meets here in Chicago, though does travel a bit to
get here.</b></p>

meet too, though I know she briefly met a few DIS'ers at WDW at a

<p><b>A letter from Dopeygirl (DG) (Tricia), who moved from Indiana to
Chicago several years ago with new, at that time, hubby, Jim,, found the DIS and a lot of friends and just recently
moved out to the state of Washington with her now serviceman hubby, Jim.
Congratulations, DG and Jim both. Hoping all goes well, safely,
comfortably. My very best to you both, well, I guess all three.</b></p>

expecting to welcome a little one into the world! I’m coming out of the first
trimester—feeling much better and my belly is rapidly growing. We’re both
very ecstatic (not to mention a little freaked!) and feel very blessed to have
this little one coming into our lives!</p>

definitely an adjustment coming from the Midwest! We’re having fun exploring a
new area and doing the tourist-thing. We’ve spent several weekends in Seattle.
This weekend we are planning to do a whale-watching cruise--certainly not
something we could do in Chicago! LOL While I love the simple beauty of farm
fields, the view down Lake Shore Blvd, the Chicago skyline…having a view of
Mt. Rainier (on a clear day! LOL) is breathtaking.</p>

planned and will likely be gone by July. If the original plans go through, he’ll

Dan, great pics as usual. Beth and I had a great time at Gino's. We had a great time in Chicago. We did get to go to the Navy Pier for a short while on Friday. We then just did the Star trek Convention and visted with the wonderful folks who came into Chicago.
