Your favorite pics of the year 2006

Iggbees,
Your Ollie-cat looks an awful lot like my George-cat....and probably just as sweet too! Neat picture from the lab too!

My 2006 in pics, none to compare with the great stuff here, but all connected to the getting of my new camera:

Visiting my parents in Colorado.

Then in August

Where my Kodak Easyshare fell into the river you see pictured in March. THAT got me my beloved Rebel! :thumbsup2

Which meant I tried to take crazy sports night shots of my son and realized I had a LOT to learn.

Did a little better at my daughter's soccer games, though.;)

And got to take it to WDW this past month brave enough to try some manual settings (gasp!) on our long awaited trip.

Great pictures! I finally had to join after lurking around for months. My husband bought me a Nikon D70s for Mother's Day and you all give such great tips. I hope that I can learn something.

the guy in the background wearing a bowtie and lime green pants is hilarious, considering it's a hockey game and everyone else is wearing a carolina sweater. :lmao:

Here's a few, not too good and I'm dissapointed but I'll save that for another thread. We have 2 cameras, a PnS and a Rebel DSLR. Very early learning stages here.

Do not be too disappointed. I would not call them bad. A few looked a little underexposed, but that can easily be fixed in software, or if you shot in RAW, you could tweak them some more to get the exposure up.

I loved 2006! I got my first SLR and learned a ton from this board and others. Here's some of my highlights. Thanks to all who have helped us newbies out.

Beautiful pics, adreayoung.

It looks like the shot of the stadium got a little washed out. In cases like that, I usually raise the black level so that the picture has more dynamic range. Here's a quick example:

Love this photo. I love the expression on the littler one's face. Well done!

I can't believe I forgot to post this one! It is from Christmas day and is definitely one of my favorites! DSIL had just acquired a 7-week-old kitten whose mother had been hit by a car. He enjoyed the ribbon from the presents.

I was in a hot air balloon and it was a small basket so I couldn't move around a whole lot- and I was just snapping as many pictures as I can while I could

Mine are not comparable to the fantastic ones already posted but these are a few of mine!
