Anyone else waiting for jetBlue to release April 2008?

Just got off the phone with Jet Blue. She said the fares are not fully in yet, that is why when you call the the recording and agents still stay booking until Feb 29. She said the fares go in at the higher price and than they are adjusted so wait a few days.

We leave from JFK. Oh pleeeeaaase go lower.:sad1:

That is a relief. I need flights into either Tampa or Sarasota. I almost fell off my chair when I saw those prices.

No wonder I'm not getting connecting flights.

Is anyone getting connections or just direct flights?

If you click book a flight on the top they dates come up, don't use the homepage buttons to try and book.

Thank you so much for explaining this. I was panicking knowing that the flights were there and I couldn't get to them :scared1: !

I ended up booking my flights for Apr 16-24 (Wed-Thurs). My kids' vacation starts on Mon, the 21st, so they'll have to miss a couple of days of school. I got $308 RT per person, which was a little less than I was prepared to pay, so I'm happy :).

Thanks to everyone for waiting with me! :wave2:

I am only getting direct but I fly out of Newark and they are direct to Orlando. I am just going to wait a few days and see if they do go down. If they stay at 399 we won't be going this year. I would be willing to drive but DH says no way is he driving with 3 kids.

They made a Price change on one of their flight,

From Boston to Orlando, 4/19/08 - 4/26/08, $299 each way/per person.
That's $598 round trip/per person.

It's still not a bad drive, Good luck all,
Joe

I couldnt wait.. it just didnt make sense that if all of the flights are going up, Jet Blue would suddenly come out with spectacular prices. I booked yesterday morning for $308 RT out of Boston. Two years ago I spent roughly the same for school vacation week in April so I am not surprised. At least its done so I can now rest easy looking foreward to the big fam trip. I waited to tell my boys the last time until Christmas... I told them right after I booked this time. They were talking about it for a half hour. Can you say excited:banana:

These prices are insane!!! 24 hours in a car with two kids does not sound enjoyable, but you seriously have me considering the drive. Round trip gas and tolls cost less than 1 round trip ticket. Not only that but Joe makes the drive sound easy.

Just wanted to say that this thread has been a great help!
I was finally able to book our return flight and have paid $308 round trip out of Boston (2/22-3/2). A little more than I was hoping, but it's paid, and I wanted JB.
Thanks everyone!

Sun April 20th, from EWR and SWF $399 one way per person!!!:scared1: I was considering chaning my plans(drive down to HHI for the week) to spend the week in WDW if the fares were low. Guess not!

They have lowered some of the 399 fares to 249 but that is still high. Talking with DH about maybe going Tuesday or Wednesday til the following Tuesday or Wednesday. I really wanted to go for 10 days but either way I am flying on one of those really expensive days JB has right now.

I notice your "high" prices seem to be because you booked on a weekend to a weekend. Why don't you fly on a Mon,Tues,Wed,or Thurs, both ways,,,so your kids miss a day or two of school,,,big deal. its more $$$ in your pocket for Disney. ºOº

Perhaps to me it is a big deal that my kids miss school, I have tried all different days and am still pricing out all my choices. My kids have also already stated that they don't want to miss 3 days of school, they don't want to have to do all that work when they get back on top of all the other work they are going to have to do. FYI last year I flew out on a Sunday and back on a Saturday and it was less than 250 RT per person.

I think if I have to pay the extra $ I will go with Continental - last year we flew Jet Blue and had many problems, delays, etc. At least with Continental you have a better chance of getting out.

I'll be driving too! The airfare was $349 RT from NY 4/19-4/28. And we need 5 RT tickets.....Ouch!

:car:

Our cruise is saturday to saturday and if I add on more days to our vacation the hotel and meals would cost more than the airfare savings.

I personally wouldn't mind driving, its my DH that doesn't. No matter how I try to put it, he really doesn't want to. Maybe if I cry enough we'll be able to go. I know how much men hate tears. :lmao:
