What Time Did you get Dreamed?

We got our fast pass dreams at around 10:30 or so after riding Haunted Mansion at DW. I would think it's logical that they pass out fastpass dreams in the morning hours so people have all day to use them.

I also have won all my prizes early in the morning, except the 2008 Dream Magic Hour at Epcot, that was early afternoonish.

I think its easier to win prizes in the morning because there are less people in the parks. The less people you are competing with, the higher chances that you'll win the prize. It makes sense statistically, if there are 500 people in the park, and they are giving out 100 fastpasses, you are more likely to win than if there are 10,000 people in the park and 100 fastpasses.

I have also won the most at Epcot, and I think that is also due to statistics. In the morning there are less rides open at Epcot than at, say MK, so if they are going to give out dream fastpasses between 9 and 10 am, there are less venues to distribute them (i.e. WS is not open, nor is Ellen's energy adventure), so your chances of happening to be in the right place at the right time are increased.

If you are looking to win, here is my friendly insider tip, ride Soarin' over and over again between 9 and 10 am. I have won dream fastpasses on Soarin' 3 times between the hours of 9 and 10 am. I know, I'm lucky! :goodvibes

We won lanyards in Toontown when visiting the princesses in the Judges Tent! It was shortly after Toontown opened (like 1030ish?) (this was last July)

Does it help to have a certain "look?" Should I dress my baby (will be 22 mo) a certain way? Last Aug she was 7 mo and I dressed her in something Disney everyday. No one even commented. A guy in line at RNR gave me a sticker as did a monorail guy at the Poly. That was all the attention we got. And, my baby's pretty cute.

Next time, we'll have grandparents with us too. But I'll definitely consider the comments. Thanks!

the castle stay is awarded between 9-10am because of the schedule the winner will go through once they have won. the people have to go back to the hotel and gather their things for the night, then have lunch and some sort of picture/press thing and then they have to go be grandmarshals for the parade. and then they get to go around the park.
last summer, it tended to be that the dream squad would show up at the dumbo ride about 9:15 and award a family that had a little kid the prize. it was the same routine for about 2-3 months before they decided to switch it up.

This is incorrect. Ever since the very beginning of the sweepstakes, the winners have always been randomly selected and it does not matter if the potential winner is 'cute' or not. It could be a single dude in his 50's there by himself as long as he is in that right spot. It probably seemed like it was always given to cute kids at Dumbo because guess what - THAT is who rides Dumbo in the first place.

All of the locations and times of prize awarding are completely random and the Dream Squad does not make any choices when it comes to who wins and who doesn't. If you are in that right place at that right time - you win (as long as you are not a cast member or a family member of one).

Regarding the first part of the message, the castle does not necessarily go out specifically between 9-10 am though the winners do have a schedule prepared for them if they choose to follow it. There is a lengthy amount of paperwork involved in all of the top prizes.

It will not help when it comes to the official prizes as part of the Dreams Giveaway. However, it may spark encounters with cast members who just want to do something special for cute kids.

Also, it is a good idea not to seem like your looking for free stuff. Remember, a lot of the special things CMs do, they try to make it a surprise for the guest. So if your asking for something, then it is not much of a surprise. Just try talking to CMs, especially if they are not at a safety position or dont look busy.

Just the other day I saw a group of teenagers that were just having a great time, laughing, having fun with CMs, randomly dancing, taking pics with the CMs - and they were pulled into checking out the control tower at one of the attractions. Remember, if you are having fun WITH the cast member, they may want to do something special for you... because you are including them in your fun.

Just curious, is there any predictable pattern for when people are dreamed? For example, has anybody ever gotten the Dream Fastpasses or lanyards or anything later in the afternoon? If you got dreamed, please list the approx. time, thanks!

My wife and I just got back, and we got dreamed with a special viewing of "Wishes" from the top of the Astro-Orbiter in Tomorrow land!

I was picking the brain of the dreamsquad guy about the suite in the castle and it is actually really interesting.

He said that it is completely random who gets it. Infact, they do not choose a person, rather a computer spits out a time and a location. The example he gave was "10:58am, Pirates of the Carribean, person closest to the entrance".

That is how the pick the castle stay. Completely random and can be in any of the 4 parks.

Tell that to my neighbors, who won it last summer on the Great Movie Ride and who happen to be in their 70s, with no kid anywhere in sight.

In August 2007 around 10:30 AM just before you go in the car on the Backlot Tour at Hollywood Studios, my Dad and I along with everyone else who was in line all won Dream Fast Psses.

Twice this March, once at MK and once at AK, each time as we were entering our third ride of the day, and we got to the 9 am Rope Drop at both places. In AK we were Dreamed exiting the Dionsaur pre-ride film and at MK just before passing in front of Buzz to board that ride. I'd guess it was about 9:15 am at MK and a half hour later at AK. We didn't use them for the rides we already did when we got them, Safari and EE at AK and Buzz at MK, so we gave them to a young couple as we left AK and a father and son at MK.

We won a Year of a Million Dreams mouse ears at approx 12 noon at Pangani trail in Animal Kingdom

We got mouse ears the Sat before Easter after coming off Splash Mountain about 9 am!:rotfl:

we won lanyards when we were leaving the conservation station at AK (right before we got to the train to take us back to the main park) @ approximately 11:00 am.

We got dreamed at about 10:30 AM today at One Man's Dream at DHS. DH just decided to go in there and got surprised with Dream Fastpasses by them.

Sounds like we may have been in the same lucky group!
I know another Diser was there as well. July 22nd maybe?

Could have been! There was a couple in front of us and a family behind us with children! Both were talking about Dis'ing! I'm too shy to speak up! (HA) But it WAS probably that date.....We were there that week for our Anniversary! :)
