ADR Question

Can you have multiple ressies at different restaurants at the same time??? Or when you book a second one does your first one get deleted?

I am surprising my DW and DD2 with a trip to disney for christmas. Trying to figure out if I can have multiple ADR's in the same night in case she would rather eat at one place instead of another.

****EDIT**** I would only need the 2 ADR's untill shortly after christmas because then she can make the choice then I could call back and cancel the other one.

Supposedly, Disney has canceled double reservations in the past but it's not a consistent practice and hasn't happened to me personally. The better thing to do is just decide which you think she'd prefer and surprise her with the spot so that some other family can have the spot at the other restaurant. Esp during Christmas, when reservations are hard to get.

Many on this board feel strongly that you should not double book because it deprives others of having a chance to book. My understanding is that a double book might cancel out the first reservation. This happened to me once when I booked 2 Epcot restaurants for about the same time on the same day with my phone number and name. One was for my sister and her family who were traveling with us. Their booking was okay, but my Rose and Crown booking was deleted. Fortunately, we were able to be seated. We are going this Christmas and I did all the bookings for the whole family. I used each family's name and number so there would be no problem. I would recommend that you use your best guess of what your wife might like. Hey, if you surprise her with a trip to Disney, she won't be complaining about the food!

We are going the first week of March. So hopefully if she wants to change something i'll still have some options.

Disney will not let you book more than 1 ressie during any dining window. 1 will override the other
