there are a few different Eurostar Hotels in Barcelona. I'm at Eurostar Grand Marina. We check-in on May 12th

Hi am glad you asked that!!!! Newbie here only just found this site with just 11 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was wondered if i should just get dollars and exchange on boat OR euros but want to get best rate as our ££££ in rubbish at the mo!!! x

The exchange rate for dollars to Euro was 1.4 on the East Bound Trans-atlantic cruise. Haven't seen if it's been adjusted on the 4/24 Med cruise.

All that means is that you booked a Cat. 12 Guarantee. Mine still says Cat. 12 but my assigned room number is a Cat. 6. You always go by whatever your room number is.

Thank you to all you wonderfully knowledgable people for this great site and all the info , Just wanted to say Hi im Charlotte(32) from the Kent in the uk i am travelling with my hubby Rob (33) and my disney princess mad d/d Piper 4 and captain cook lovin ds Leyton 2!!! Its our forst ever cruise, disney experience and family hols abroad (first flights for my bubs but only 2 hours so should be ok) Only booked in jan on a spare of the mo thing as never ever heard of the disney cruise but am soooooooooooooooo glad we did!!!! Havent booked any excursion as my two are young and difficult (Not happy to leave on board yet plus have seen alot of europe) So plan on enjoying full potention of the boat!!!!!
Am concerned about our flight as wont get into barc til 2!! know its only 30-40 mins so hopling to grab a taxi and get there before 4!!!!!!!!ahh Flights home is a pain to have to be at airport at 8am so will miss alot!!! (would change but cost more than the hols) Any one else on my easy jet flights!!!

Don't fret too much over getting to the ship by 4 pm...it doesn't sail until 9:30 pm. The only thing that happens at 4 pm is they close the check-in stations in the cruise port terminal building and do all remaining check-in on board the ship. This enables the crew to get ready for the mandatory muster drill at 5 pm. As for your early morning departure, your flight is the earliest I've seen. Guests will begin leaving the ship around 7 am and you should make sure you're in that first group off the ship. By the way, you won't be missing anything that morning. I don't recall the exact time but everyone has to be off the ship by 9:30 or 10 am so they can get the ship ready for the next group of cruisers.

Hi there. We also dont arrive in Barcelona until 13:40. (Easy jet from Newcastle). We tried to book Disney transfers but had to go through Iglu. They advised us that we would be better getting taxi transfers as they are very reliable and reasonably cheap. (Roughly 25/30 Euros each way).
This is our first Disney cruise as well. A work colleage went from Port Canaveral last year and said it was the best trip he had ever had. Everyone on this forum is really friendly and helpful. We would be lost without them.

Any suggestion as to how i can do this can i just pay my bill night before then leave ship as soon as at port???

I just dont want to miss any oppotuntie as not sure if we will be able to do it again!!! x

10:45 is not so bad. Disney has quite a few people booked on flights out of Barcelona at that time. In terms of what you need to do, you should go on the Disney Cruise Line website, log in and click on the "My Online Check-in" link. Here you'll fill out Guest Information for each person in your travel party, the Payment Authorization Form, read and print out the DCL cruise contract and finally you'll enter your Flight Information. DCL prioritizes who gets off the ship first according to this flight information. Families like mine that are staying in Barcelona an extra day or more will be the last off the ship. Folks like you with early flights will be first off.

Hi Karen,

Here is the update on St. Peter's Basilica

Our stop at the basilica works only with the Vatican museum because from there we can skip the line
What we can do is driveby the square before we drive back to the port and you can get off the car for few minutes to make some pictures

It looks like we will not be going inside St. Peter's Basilica.

Please let me know if you are still interested in joining us on the tour.

Definitely not too late for the lanyards/nametags. I'll make those tonight. Do you want them for your little ones too or just you and hubby? As to the meets, the only ones that are closed are the brunches at Palo and the private wine tasting. The embarkation meet is open for all to come and go as they please (and pick up their lanyards). The stateroom crawl is open to anyone as well. The other Wine Tastings are open to anyone and must be booked through Disney at the Guest Services desk. Not yet on the "DIS Meets" tab on the web site yet, but there was discussion earlier about having a standing meeting after the shows on the "At Sea" evenings. To me, it might be better, at least for the first two evenings, to do that the evening before the "As Sea" days as we won't have to get up early to make a tour in port. Regardless, having the lanyards will make it easier to recognize each other and join up if we want in whatever is going on.

Charlotte, I love your energy! If I had been to all the ports on the cruise like you, I would sit back and enjoy the Mickey pool with those babies!(with the drink of the day of course!)
