Hey,,Linda babe....its monday tom, and Im off for a whole week:woohoo:
Hope my american friends are enjoying Sunday, Im thinking about tom already.

Postcards - I will add them to my to do list while in ports and mail them home along with one from CC.

Did we decide to have a meet on Thursday afternoon before we sail?

I have sort of wracked my brain trying to remember but not worried enough to go search the first thread - just figured I would ask again.

OK, back to my cleaning project.

Just a drive by posting - will have to go back and catch up. DH did not book our excursion while I was away this weekend at horse show with DD.

I am working my way through it. But everything I booked doesn't show up. Helpful DCL phone line employee told me to start over. But the website says I am still logged in. I have to wait 20 minutes and try again.

Oh and they have my dining time wrong. Still. Though we have requested three times to have it changed.

Is it too early for a glass of wine??:lmao:

OK off to catch up with the thread!

Sweetie, it's 5 O'Clock somewhere! Trust me I work for an airline! If you need to know where I can find out! :rolleyes1

It might take more than one glass of wine, considering you are dealing with excursions, dining problems, dcl cm and dcl website. That's alot for anyone. I hope you get it all resolved soon. That 20 minute thing is so annoying.

A little extra point about Panama Canal postcards. We all wrote them and posted them, but they all arrived NOT franked, or whatever you call it, ifrom Panama. It was quite disappointing as we could have sent them from anywhere. I hope it is different this time.

Thats disappointing! Can I ask where was it stamped from then, the US or some other random place? The whole allure of having it as a souvenir is the postmark- I would hate if it didnt say Panama on it...by the way the coolest postmark I have is from Oatman, Arizona which is a little town along Route 66 that you get to after a winding, twisty turning trip over the best stretch of '66 in my opinion. It is a wild west town, and they have a band of burros (similar to donkeys) that come through town daily that you can feed, it is really fun. So anyway the postmark for Oatman has the burro on it which I think is pretty cool.

So how did DD do at the horse show?

Hoping your excursion booking is going smoother now.

I had all kinds of problems booking excursions for our first cruise (Nov 2009) since we had 20 of us all linked and of course everyone volunteered me to do all the excursion booking.:sad2:

I love it!:rotfl:

Not stamped at all. I believe it was the same for everyone. Perhaps the Panama postal service just couldn't be bothered a tamping them all.:confused3 Hopefully it will all work well next time.

I would love to join in with Secret Mickey. I was so upset when I realized that I missed the cut off date. I have done this twice now and had so much fun.

Corinna

Just send me a PM if you haven't yet and I will send you the link to sign up!

Last time, I hogged Des's verandah and didn't leave her cabin for hours. I figured this time I'd leave her alone to enjoy it as it's hard to wander around a big old lump mass on that tiny balcony. But it was a good thing I was on it as that rainstorm made its way into the canal and made all the ships look like they were right out of the POC ride. :rotfl2: I have to make everything Disney you know. :lmao:

You didn't hog it at all! It was so much fun! And the storm was one of the coolest things I have ever seen!

Beautiful Lynne - thanks for sharing.

Well, I got all the stuff out from under the bathroom sink so now I suppose I need to wipe it out and put it back in again - less the half bag of trash that is.

We live about 45 min away from Oatman and always take our visitors there. It is an adorable town. You forgot to mention Clark Gable spent his honeymoon there.

And for the poster of the pics, you're driving me crazy!! I havent been on a DCL yet and every time I see pics I get more anxious.

Sorry Lynne, I forgot it was you who posted the pics until I made my post. They are Wonderful, lol. But I can hardly contain myself!!!!

Lynne, Looks like you had a fantastic cruise on the TA. I love all your pictures.

Would anyone be intrested in putting together a Manzanillo volcano tour?

COLIMA FIRE VOLCANO TOUR (Half day, approximately 5½ hours) Colima Fire Volcano with full explanation of history and facts--and hazards. You'll get as close as 4 miles from the crater. Includes birdwatching, vista of the volcano caldera, a visit to a coffee plantation & coffee factory with coffee tasting, and calla lily plantation. $65 USD

Yes! Can you post more information?? We have been trying to think of something for that port and found nothing interesting. Do you have more information?
