So I reminded Dennis
again that he needs to get his leave approved for this trip. He mentioned it to his supervisor back in February, but she said it was too early then.
He put in his leave request today. So tonight I asked him how soon we'd get the official word. He said, "She's usually pretty quick about that." Then he said, (I can't believe this), "Three weeks -- that's a long time. But it should be okay." Then he mumbled something about something (sounded like "big project") being due in Sept., but he can finish his part before he leaves. WHAT???
I can understand him not hearing when the dogs are barking to come in or go out. I can understand him not hearing when I tell him we're out of milk and he needs to pick some up on the way home. But...
I've only talked about this trip virtually EVERY DAY SINCE WE BOOKED IT IN OCTOBER. How did he miss the importance of this???
If he doesn't get his leave, I'm still going. I won't get the Military rate as the service person has to be there, but I'll save enough on dog boarding and airfare to make up for it!! (Wonder if survivors get the benefit? Not that I'd do anything to him. They'd have to prove it anyway.)
I'm so annoyed with him right now. He was talking like leave was just a formality. Now it sounds like he might not get it. AAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!
Okay, rant is over now. I need to hit the sack anyway. Have to go to work in the morning. I promise to resist the temptation to smother him in his sleep.
