Yea! All checked in for our flight in the morning! 4am pickup to airport by our local TSA agent so no car left at the airport!
2 days with friends in Avila Beach north of LA, wine tastings around Pasa Robles and then GET ON THE WONDER!

Hope everyone has safe and HEALTHY travels!:cheer2::woohoo:

Zach is out of surgery. Now it's just a wait and see how he does. We were supposed to leave thursday morning, but that's looking like it won't happen. Probably won't make Disneyland pre-cruise, but hopefully still make the cruise

For Zach = pixiedust:Hang in there little man!!!

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for Zach.

Bev - email sent.

See some of ya on 4/28 at the Double Tree.

Sending pixie dust as well for Zach....hoping for a speedy recovery.

We are currently staying at the DLH and have a pool view room - we had to get our room moved last night because of this situation. Disney has performers everynight at the Tangara Terrace and they perform until 10 pm....it is very loud. We were in the Frontier Building 4th floor, pool view and I thought I had a front row seat to the "concert"...that is how loud it was in our room....not fun when we had been travelling for close to 20 hours and wanted to get some sleep. When I called the front desk, I was informed that these performances happen every night.....I asked to be moved to a "quiet" room away from the music...so exhausted as we were...we had to pack up our room and then had bell services transfer our bags to our new room in the Fantasy tower (city view) and unpack...at least it is quiet and we were finally able to get some sleep.

Just thought I would let other know, in case you are just arriving before the cruise and want to turn in early.

But on the bright side, if that happens, you will save a lot of time not having to do laundry - but be sure to pack sunscreen :lmao:

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing! I am so thrilled for you guys!

I love the ***** - I always knew that cleaning was a dirty word :rotfl2:

Fingers crossed and sending pixie dust!

We leave in less than 48 hours. Its been kinda crazy since my work trip to Australia got extended by a week and only left me with 1 week from getting home and going away again.

We have been busy with all the boring chores such as laundry and cleaning etc as we have sitters coming while we are away to look after our fur babies.

Only 1.5 days of work to go! Then a 15 hour flight ... uh! At least I am packed and my suitcase has plenty of freespace for my shopping. Love, love, love shopping at Walmart (its a cultural experience) ;)

Safe travels to all! See you in onboard. I'll be easy to spot, I'll be the one in the Disney character tshirt :rotfl:

Check out youtube... Search "people of wal mart"... Funny stuff there if you have never seen it before!...

Early Monday morning, we received a call from father-in-law's (DFIL) nursing home that he took a turn for the worse. I rushed over, prepared to say good by and spent a very tense day. DH was in another state at a meeting, and tried to get back in time, plane had mechanical problems and was grounded for the night. By Tuesday AM, DFIL, had regained conciseness, and Dennis ended up staying at meeting. I finally was able to get some sleep last night. Will return to nursing home this afternoon.

Cruise, of course, has been regulated to the back of our lives.

Long story for question. If I get on ship, can Dennis fly to one of the islands and join me?
I know I should call DCL, but, I wanted to ask you folks first.

I am going to be closing my dis board link (maybe for first time since Christmas) :rotfl2: in a little bit and heading out for LA....Road Trip :thumbsup2

I hope to check in along the way so would someone please be sure and leave a link to part 5 when we get there because I think it is going to happen soon :)

Thank you so much everyone for the prayers and well wishes! Decent news so far this morning. He has two more rounds of IV antibiotics and then should get to go home tonight around 6. His toes and foot are pretty swollen, and everything is wrapped up really well. With prudent dressing changes, and oral antibiotics, the dr's think we are ok to keep our trip plans. If things turn for the worse, we just find a hospital in LA.

We have a 4 hour drive just to get to the airport and planned on doing that tonight, and then flying out tomorrow. But we want our little man to sleep in his own bed tonight, and we havent had a chance to pack, so I think the plan is to get up at 4am and drive to the airport in the morning.

If you see a very large (tall) three year old being carried around the grand and disneyland by his daddy stop and say hi!

I'm so glad to hear that he is improving.

Safe travels to everyone as they start their journeys to Los Angeles.

Just a few more days everyone! :beach:

Tell Zach Mickey Mouse will be thrilled to see him.....Have a great trip and ask Dr if pressure of take off and landing might make pain a little worse and if he recommends something to make him comfortable.

Hey all!

Thanks to everyone who has sent their well wishes for our wedding to us....the wedding was this past Saturday and was A-MAZ-ING!!! We were fortunate enough to have nearly 200 guests at our ceremony---

---the ceremony had a definite Disney vibe to it since we had a harpist playing an assortment of Disney tunes as guests got seated and she played our processional ("I See the Light" from Tangled), the song that played in the background during our "sand ceremony" ("Someday My Prince Will Come" from Snow White) and our recessional ("So Close" from Enchanted). Our unity candle had an image of Tigger and Roo (our "signature characters") on it. Our friend (Tony Award-winning actor/singer/songwriter, Levi Kreis) was there to perform our wedding song---which he wrote especially for us and recorded to be released on his next CD later this year. There was lots of crying and laughing and it was a very personal and special ceremony. Lots of people told us it was one of the best ceremonies they'd ever been to...so that felt very nice

After the ceremony our guests split and we had a brief cupcake and punch with about 120 our guests who were my cheerleaders and their families for about an hour; and then joined the remainder of our "regular" guests for our cocktail hour and reception----which were just a great party/celebration. Levi stayed and performed (played piano and sang) the songs for our first 3 dances: our first dance, our mothers' dance, and a couple's choice dance. It was great food, great fun....a very cool and fun cake....plates with Tigger and Roo stenciled in dark cocoa powder to serve the cake on....just a great evening....and such a wonderful way to celebrate our relationship with our family, friends and colleagues. (In fact, a small handful of our DIS friends from this cruise/thread were even able to make it to Rochester for the wedding and it was so nice to see them and spend time together...knowing we'd be seeing each other in less than a week for the Hawaii cruise, too!! :thumbsup2)

We haven't actually blogged about the wedding yet (in fact, our poor blog has gone entirely neglected since September basically!! :rolleyes1) because we won't get back most/all of our pictures from the wedding until our photographer is done editing and going through them and burning them to a disk (probably not until we get home from Hawaii)....but we do have a small handful of photos to share:

The photos look amazing. Congratulations again.

I looked through the fish extender lists but I think I only found two people there----cquick and amyreneemt----I will try to take a closer look and see if I'm missing any of the others I'm looking for on there (would be easier if anyone has the full fish extender list, with all participating rooms in all groups, saved in alphabetical order----anyone?? :confused3)

There is actually a complete Fish Extender list in alphabetical order in the Navigator.

I know there are a few people on a waiting list for a HA room. Well my mom tonight sadly had to cancel her reservation. She was in 6647 I think. Regardless it was a HA room. By the way she is fine just her doctor did not want her to go and be in the middle of the pacific. He said any other cruise would be fine. A few things came up this weekend, none of which I am going to post here to respect her privacy. Again she is fine. I hope one of my fellow Disers gets her room.

I am sorry that your mom can't come.

Zachs (ds3.5) leg keeps getting worse. Just got admitted to the hospital, may end up in surgery tonight.

I am sorry that he has to go through this.

I am glad that things are starting to look up.

I am officially on vacation. We are checked in at one of the airport hotels and I am just chilling out in the club lounge. I have tried to check in online, but whereas it would let me check in for Graham, it tells me that my passport has expired. Well, it is valid until July 2014. We will just check in at the airport tomorrow.

Glad Zach is doing so well. You might want to rent a wheelchair at Disneyland. The back you save may be your own.

I logged on just to check on Zach and what good news I found. Yay, Mickey Mouse can make all boo boos good.

Cayla, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for resposting your link and for your willingness to share!

Strongly suggest you rent a wheel chair and get a GAC (Guest assistance card). MUCH more comfortable for Zach AND the dad!

So glad to hear. Nothing says healing for a three year old like Disneyland!
