The MAGIC is Back!!! - 6th Sept 2014 WBTA - Come & join the fun! - PART 2

Anyone know how I can get the Navigator if I am not on Facebook?
I sent a PM to mdwoodman (Michael) and he emailed it to me.

Also,

If there is anyone that is travelling and doesn't have access to a printer I can print a few extra copies of the final Navigator. It's quite a big document so if there are specific pages that you need/don't need please let me know.

Lynn

The ship has confirmed the date and times for champagne girls, but they just need the confirmation also from the Beveridge Team which is expected today, but it looks like we are nearly all set to go for the Champagne Girls in Keys.

Watch this space for an update hopefully later today or tomorrow morning ...

We are nearly there!

I don't have access to Facebook, so if someone could send me a copy soonest, that would be wonderful. Additionally, I PMed mdwoodman to back up this request. Thanks

Starting to panic now as purchased open top bus ticket for Malaga as thought it wuld be a nice way to see the city. Online it doesn't mention this isn't running but from the sounds of it lots of things might not be!

I haven't purchased tickets yet but had been planning to with the discount code that had been posted.
I would imagine they would offer a refund if they weren't running the day you were in town, right?

I asked them several months ago if they were running on that Monday, the response said they hadn't had notification from the local office but it would be posted on website if they wern't running and to keep checking. Only the Easter dates are posted as not running; so hopefully they are.

I have had confirmation back from them to say we need not worry (few)! They contacted the tour operator in Malaga and they confirmed they will be running as usual. I for one am relieved. PS the discount code ends on the 30th August so don't miss out!

Just to be absolutely certain I don't make any mistakes (I guess I'm a bit OCD!), the following have been deleted from the chocolate tasting in the Navigator:

Susan (geffric)
Crystal & Trent (Disneyfan_sd)
Patricia & Dennis (pflamingo)
Sue and Richard (babydiver)
Amanda & Anette
Paul Chevallier (paul312)
Gail Anglin (gesamom)
Jimmy and Judith Simpson (JimmyL47)
Walter & Diane Vincent (Walt & Di)
Arlenesp (Arlene Pommiss)
Raichael Hardy, Darren Hardy (TeamH5)

and Ian (scottishwee)

Michael

Hi Michael,

It's correct that Paul Chevallier is not doing the chocolate tasting.

I received word from HRC. The minimum is 80, so I'll send them the deposit today. I think it's easiest if everybody just gets their tokens from me at HRC. To confirm, it's 10 Euros each. If you're going to spending more than that (if you're having dinner it WILL be more than that! ;-) ), I'd appreciate it if you would get extra tokens from me so that I can get out of the token business as early as possible! We will start at 1800 (6:00 pm) and go until ???

Just called Alma from DCL......She said that we have been approved for the three times on Sunday, Sept. 7 (1:00-2:00 pm, 3:00 - 4:00 pm, 5:00 - 6:00 pm) for the mixology tastings, but she is having to wait for the FINAL CONFIRMATION from the beverage division before she can give me final ok. So the three groups on page one of Disboards are as they stand. If you cannot attend during your time slot (Group #1 - 1:00 pm, Group #2 - 3:00 pm, and Group #3 - 5:00 pm), you will need to go to guest services as soon as you get on board the ship to cancel your reservation for the mixology tasting in order not to be charged for it (speak with Andrea at guest services).

When I hear back from Alma this afternoon, I will post immediately that these tastings are a sure thing! :) Alma said we shouldn't have any problems, BUT you never know! So please don't count this as a done deal until I've hear back from Alma and I let everyone know it's a go!!!

Thank you all for your patience and looking forward to, hopefully, a good time at the mixology tasting!!!! :goodvibes

Debra

I've noticed that there are a few folks doing pre-cruise holidays. We are at the Disneyland Resort for the 1/2 Marathon Weekend, this weekend. We're staying at the Grand Californian. We're also taking this opportunity to test our packing efficiencies for the cruise next week. Only forgot to pack the AMC theater passes, but we won't be needing them next week.

Well......just to add to the ridiculous situation going on with the confirmation of different groups, I just called Alma with DCL to see if she had heard on our confirmation. She looked through her papers and she had heard from them. I'm pleased to announce that we are confirmed for one mixology tasting on SEPT. 5 AT 2:00 pm!!!!!!! How does that work for you???? Geez!

Alma is trying to get back with the Magic to straighten this out. It will now be Tuesday before we hear anything. Personally, I can't wait to hear what they are going to say next!!!!! TO BE CONTINUED............

*** 29th August UPDATE ON CHAMPAGNE GIRLS ***

After much, much frustration, we have “some” news from DCL. We have been confirmed for 2 tastings on 12TH SEPTEMBER 2014 in Keys. Fantastic that all 60 ladies are allowed to attend.

I am waiting on confirmation of both time slots in the afternoon that they will be held. I will update you all with the times for each group as soon as I hear, but at least you all know that you are confirmed and you know the date/afternoon the Champagne Girls will be held, so that you can mark this in your cruise calendar accordingly. Michael will be putting the info we have so far into the Navigator.

Please note to arrive 15 minutes before as I have arranged for a couple of kind gents to attend to take group photos on the stairs/outside the lifts at Keys.

I haven't heard anything on the chocolate tastings so I guess I won't until Tuesday. Wednesday I fly to Barcelona...

When you do these group tastings does everyone get notice when they get on board? I think I am going to spend my first day calling everyone's room to give them the update!!!

FYI The day we are in St Kitts, September 19, is their Independence Day, a public holiday.

Here''s some information from my contact on the island:

"Independence Day is a public holiday. The duty free stores will be open on Port Zante so will the major attractions, beaches and bars.

There is an Independence Day Parade in Warner Park which the Governor General, Prime Minister, gov't Minsiters, public officials and the public attend to see the services such as the police, army, nurses, cadets, fire brigade and so on on parade. This happens in the morning and can take a while.

Basseterre City will be somewhat quiet as the banks and businesses will be closed.

Being a holiday you may find more locals at the beach."

If you don't feel like calling, we'll have the DCL write on magnetic board on our cabin door. It worked out well on our June cruise when DH & I forgot our wave phones. It turned out to be a great, practical welcome gift.

I think people have said you don't get any confirmation (which is a pain because it means I have to remember things lol)

Have you made groups yet? Or don't you know if there are 2 or 3 groups. Because it's easier to know in which group you are, then you only have to mention the times of the groups.
