Interesting. According to the DVC resource thread, 2014 was:

BWV 6.07 - no increase
VWL 5.93 - +1.5%
BCV 5.79 - +3.1%

There is an error in the 2014 BWV dues listed for 2014...

BWV 2014 dues is 6.0067 (6.01 rounded - NOT 6.07)
BWV 2015 dues is 6.0735 = 1.1 % increase (not bad).

BCV up 3.3% for what? That is a lot for a resort that is really getting run down. I know we need money to update the resort but they should be keeping some aside annually so they stop doing huge increases. Bcv get very little maintenance lately from the look of it. We love bcv but it needs updating for what we are paying.

The dues do much more than merely maintain the resort. You're also paying for shared services like bus, valet, bell services. It seems that BCV is doing a pretty good job at holding the increase down.

This should be all of them for 2015 .............

BWV - $6.0735

VWL - $6.0251

BCV - $5.9748

BLT - $5.0504

VGF - $5.5216

VGC - $5.1483

VB - $8.06

HHI - $6.5190

I only have BWV but housekeeping is by far the biggest operating expense, 1.0729 per point. Property taxes is even higher - 1.1356 per point. Reserve fund .8877 per point.

BLT housekeeping is 5 million?

Seems very high?

About $50 per unit per day and we know they don't have housekeeping everyday?

Are the people in charge getting paid huge salaries?

If someone is at the meeting, please ask the question.

Thank you.

From the annual notice: Housekeeping includes cost of cleaning vacation homes and public areas and replacement of disposable amenities in vacation homes. Also includes the purchase, replacement and cleaning of linens and towels.

I believe they no longer have the Q & A session at the meeting.

We went to monthly payments for annual fees a few years ago. It doesn't hurt so bad that way.

The new assessment paperwork says they will .

" A question and answer session will be held as part of the Member Annual Meeting and will be open to questions specifically related to agenda items and the proposed budgets. Additionally we are holding a reception ater the meetings, attended by representitives from the Disney Vacation Club leadership team who will be available to answer Member questions one-on-one"

I will be in WDW when the meeting takes place ............just wondering if its worth my time to attend  .

It will be at Coronado Springs 12/11 at 2 PM.

I attended several in the past and I consider them a required dog and pony show. They only answer the questions that are positive and deferred all others. On a couple of occasions I was told that staff would get back to me and they never did.

$5 million again for housekeeping, isn't that what it was last year? How does that compare to other large DVC resorts? Or do more members do short stays at BLT because of the point cost per night so there is a higher number of full cleanings per villa over the year?

And will we ever know why BLT keeps increasing at these ridiculous percentages?

When are the dues due? Since I bought resale, am I able to pay monthly or is it in one lump sum?

You can set it up to do a monthly debit from a checking account. You need to call and talk to member accounting I believe it is called. When I bought my resale and set it up, I had to send a copy of a voided check via fax I think. Not sure if that's still the process. I'd get it set up soon so you don't have to worry about forgetting. First payment will come out in January.

BWV housekeeping is $5.245 million or 1.0729 per point (383 vacation homes).
