Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

We have a 1900 for a party night at 510. Do you think that's worth it? Also we have one the following night just in case we don't do the first one, but have candlelight processional that night and have lunch at 115. I'm feeling we will probably drop both, but hoping someone else can provide some insight as well.

Anyone think its ridiculous to take an almost 3 year old that is very busy to the Candlelight Processional? I scored the 5p show but worried that it will ruin others experience LO is super busy.
We took our dd when she was that age her older sister was singing in it! So it was extra special but to answer your ? It was fine she fussed alittle but no one cared it's wdw! Enjoy!

Good advise. I hate to spend the extra money for the dinner package and not enjoy the show. At the same time you just never know until you get in the moment. I am slightly drawn to it just because NPH will be there during our trip!! :)

I guess it could be, depending on what your party goals are and how much you want to get done. It is about 90 or more minutes with travel time too so cost-wise, probably not when you price out the ticket prices per hour and how much you'll miss.

Oh wow you are lucky I've always wanted to catch him there but it never works!

The party festivities officially start at 7:00, so I think a 5:10 PF gives you plenty of time to get to MK by then. But, you can technically get into MK at 4:00 with a party ticket. So would the extra park time before the party mean more to you than a 1900 PF dinner and getting to the park at the start of the party? And do you plan on staying until midnight? If so, then I'd do 1900 PF and then enjoy your 7:00 - 12:00 time at the party. If you have younger kids and think you may only make it until 9:00 or 10:00 then you may want to get to the park at 4:00 to get more time in the park before the party.

For your plans the day before, is the PF your 1:15 lunch? Or are you saying you have a 1:15 lunch somewhere else and then 1900 PF and then to Epcot for CP? That seems like a lot of running around. Of the two choices I'd pick 1900 PF before the party if you have plenty of other time to spend at MK on your trip.

when and how r u going to tell them? I'm waiting until we are heading to the airport but I don't know how to break the news?
well we have a couple of ideas. Kids are DS9,DS6,DD4,DS2,DD4mo
we live in Fargo, ND, but are flying out of Minneapolis, which means a drive overnight for our early flight. We connect in Chicago. My *hope* is we can play off the first leg of the trip, then either1. Give each a piece of paper with the side they see have a cute turkey picture or something, then the back be (divided up into 5pages)
"we have no idea we're going to Disney World RIGHT NOW" what a cute picture that would make while they admire their "cards"
or, more likely, 2. Someone will read our destination being Orlando, and ask if we're going to DW, and we'll just say "YES! RIGHT NOW!!"
it sounds complicated but we're trying to keep it easily and still be a big ol' surprise

It's just really, really popular. And it doesn't have a lunch option so everyone is fighting for breakfast and dinner. Supposedly BOG and CRT are some of the hardest ADRs to pick up, along with 'Ohana and Akershus. For some reason this year 'Ohana has been the toughest for me. Although, to be fair I haven't been looking for it as much as my BOG since I've gone back and forth on whether I want to eat there.

But keep trying! Are you following the November cancellation thread in case something opens up? And keep checking the website. Some people may even wait to cancel the night before the meal so even keep checking once you get to WDW - good luck!
I noticed that this trip too. In past didn't have problem. Food there is the best

Has anyone ever seen the videos on Youtube with the Disney surprise fails? They are hilarious! Well - not that I'm laughing at kids crying but that they don't understand how awesome a Disney vacation is going to be. The parents usually are filming to watch how excited the kids get when they tell them they are going to Disney World, but instead of getting excited the kids get mad or cry for some reason or another. Like on kid was mad and started crying because he thought they were going to Chuck E Cheese and that's where he wanted to go! Poor thing!

Is anyone driving from the northeast? Looking for advice for our upcoming trip?

Sorry for all the questions, but this is our first trip and we are very excited/ nervous!!!

Last post, so sorry, but I can not figure out how to pm someone. I have the 10 posts needed... Can anyne please help???
We are driving from the Northeast. We are in Western NY... coming down 79 and 77 through those beautiful mountains and no I95 stress! Last time we did this drive, it was absolutely gorgeous and not bad. Where are you driving from?

Is it possible to book CRT online? I'm hoping for a miracle for the first week in December. I've also been calling to check. Just wondering checking the website is helpful or a waste of time.. Fingers crossed.

Is anyone surprising their kids and not telling them they are going?

We're doing a girls trip and my kiddo doesn't know yet. I have been prepping the other sibs and talking up all the Daddy and them time. I took my oldest on a trip a few years ago and told DD we would some day too. They when I found out about it being the last season for OL, I made the decision this was the time ;) I plan on telling her the Friday or Saturday before we leave on Sunday,

I've seen availability for it on the desktop website but the mobile MDE seems to always say "call to reserve".
