Looks like all out of BGs for the day, not sure when that happened but Saw that since 721... in queue at RotR but not moving

I think my question now is: WiFi/LTE and which are the best tapstiles to stand behind when you first arrive. I think I am going to walk around examine the day before to see which near the right have double sided taps as opposed to single side.
Just the ones on the very right for strollers have 1. We were on the right side but not the very end and it had 2 taps. We were on LTE but not appearing as in the park, they did tell everyone it could take 5 minutes once you tap to show as in the park in the app, we saw CM and it was immediate . BG14

Vi Moradi is now playing telephone with the folks in the queue...
How long has the morning shutdown lasted previously??

I don’t know, I know I want an early BG and I’m going the weekend before Christmas so I’m planning on getting there as soon as the parking lots open so I can be one of the first in line, hopefully! If I have to stand in a mob way in the back, watching people cut in line I’ll have a panic attack or something! I’d rather just be there early. But that’s just me, maybe I’m overthinking it!

Same here! Our flight arrives at MCO at 1:30am on 12/21. We’re relying on DME to get to ASMu and at this rate I’m planning to probably just stay at the room long enough to drop our bags and change clothes before heading over to DHS via Uber or Lyft.

JUSt like 20 feet away and all down the Hollywood blvd as we walked to MFSr CMs were asking if they could help get people in a BG. So impressed with how well run this has been run. No trample running or anything very smooth

Might it be worth it trying a CM rather then the app?

I am wondering if that is what they are going for - they got a lot of complaints from people about the parks opening earlier than posted and missing out on BGs so they move park opening early but then won't open the gates much/at all earlier than this new time
It doesn't appear that this tactic increased the chance to snag a BG past the "official" park opening time anyway if they were gone at 7:20.

unrelated to guests but related to DHS operations, they got notified yesterday of the addition of evening EMH, those scheduled to closed, my DD included, got a text saying that their schedules were changed. She was supposed to work until 11pm, now she's closing at midnight
Just a little peek at how these things not only affect the guest but the CM bringing you the experiences

but now guests can't complain that they were locked out of bg because the park opened so early. If you were in the park at 7am you could've gotten into a bg.

Unpopular opinion , but I see these 7am being worse for the guest experience:
There's more people lining up outside the park because the park is opening at 7am
There's more people joining the bg, thus having them go out faster
There's more people enjoying other attractions in the park, the "getting everything done before park opens" advantage is gone
And there's still going to be angry people that show up at 7:15-7:30 not being able to join a bg anyways
Just my opinion

Well, yesterday it didn't even make it to official opening, but yeah

Wondering how buses were there s morning, if they started earlier/more early buses with the earlier opening. I am wondering if that is where a lot of complaints came - and, to be fair, you shouldn't*have* to pay for Uber/Lyft to get there in time to get a BG so this way resort guests can get there more reliably via Disney transport before BGs are gone
