I was on my laptop, my daughter put something on here to slow it down from one of her games.... I slowingly registered my mom and I for the challenge and 5k.... then I added my CC and.... said it was full. But.... charged my card for the FULL amount! So now I am out of the money out of my acct and no confirmation to show for it. Kinda irritated.

In for the Challenge and having stupid FOMO about the 5k...

Eh, do what my husband and I did marathon week. We ran a 5k around Boardwalk the same time the race was going on at Epcot. It was free, uncrowded and we didn’t have to get up at 2:30 (I even PRd that one. Lol) We considered it our last practice before the half.

Does anyone have info on race insurance for this? There was no option for signup but was thinking this may be a good one to get insurance on since it is so pricey. I want to add it within the 24 hour period signup window.

I’m curious if they’re setting any of the Magicbands aside for normal registration. It’d be cruel to those who can’t prereg to sell out of them today.

It’s my first time doing a runDisney event but I would think they would hold the same percentage of MagicBands aside for normal registration as they do race entries. Like if 20% of entries are available via preregistration they would do 20% of the MagicBands created available then too. Obviously I don’t know if that’s how it works or that’s even close to what the numbers are, but if I was running it that’s how I’d do things.

Also .... after last year I decided to size up on shirts I figure if they are big and I can't trade for a size down I can wear them more as a Spirit Jersey vs if I got my normal size and it was snug and I couldn't size up it would be unwearable like last years 5K shirt is

I used to be a perfect size medium in Champion race shirts. In the new race shirts I need a large. The large is roomy on me, but comfy, looks fine and I like it.

I can fit my middle easily in a new shirt size medium, but I'm tall with swimmer's shoulders and longer arms. The new ladies shirts are much narrower in the shoulders and the sleeves were way too short on me. FYI for any ladies like me.

Exchanged my mediums for larges at the last Wine&Dine/Princess but this time I remembered to sign up for large!! Now that i have it figured out, they will probably redo the sizing, LOL.

Yes. You can go and add. It is a little glitchy though and sometime doesn't load and sometimes loads.

I noticed the proof of time for the HM was sub 2:30? Is that always the case? The princess HM was my first race and you needed a sub 2:45 pot. I guess im gonna have to get faster if I want to stay out of the general corrals

That's a new change. It has been sub 2:45 until today's registration.

With the Champion the XL fit perfect last year the XL for the 5K fit snugly and a trade for the next size wasn't available for my the 10K shirt the XL didn't even pull down over my chest I was able to trade up sizes and it fits okay (sister had to go from her normal Medium to a Large.... I don't know if she sized up this year or not)

There is speculation that this is due to the Club runDisney guaranteed coral upgrade. It looks like it may be that everyone who qualified for coral E are getting moved to the back and Club members are getting that coral. If this is true, it should be interesting to see how many people who ran a 2:30-2:45 half will now buy into the Club...

In for the half! Chrome, Incognito, I was busy and wasn't able to start anything until 10:01am - only waited a minute or so after logging in to MDE/clicking through/etc. before registration window came up. Might be better to wait to start until 10am? I was still undecided about the 10K when it sold out, so I'll keep pondering that one until Tues.

I am THRILLED about not needing to run a race for PoT with the new requirements! And I hope that carries over to the other race registrations coming up, too. Unless it turns the corrals/course congestion situation into a disaster, of course. We'll see...

Late to the party which is nothing unusual! DH & I are signed up for the challenge. It would be nice to know the correct POT details. DH has never run a race of any distance. I offered to pace him for POT in a 10K and it would be helpful to know what he needs to stay out of the giant corral.

Jackets are a bit thinner now and are a bit smaller than before. I personally haven't bought a jacket since the champion ones.
