Let’s reschedule for 2021! Who’s in?

April 24 to May 1 - 2021 !
We are doing Pop Century - my salary decreased because of COVID-19 :(

So, just notified our travel agent that we want to move our Sep 20 trip to Sep 21. Soooo sad, I really needed my Disney dose. Saying that, every time I feel sad, I remind myself that we are all healthy, that my 87 year old dad is healthy and safe, and it does put things into proportion. Wish you all to be healthy and safe :).

October-We've never been during the Halloween season. So, we will schedule for October 2021. And hope it won't be more crowded than usual, due to everyone postponing their 2020 trips.
I am really looking forward to Space 220!!

We cancelled our July 2020 trip.

Officially rescheduled for 4/1-4/3 at BC before our 7 day Fantasy Cruise (although I’m a bit skeptical this will run - we may end up doing a split stay).

Then booked 5/13-5/16 at WL for my 35th birthday 🥳

Hopefully we all get to go next year!

We were very fortunate to move our cancelled stay on rented DVC points to the Boardwalk Feb 14-20 2021. We got VERY lucky that the broker was willing to issue credits and there was availability at Boardwalk. DVC availability is very sparse because so many are rescheduling. We have never stayed at the Boardwalk so we are excited to try something new.

I am thinking February 2021 if there is a vaccine by then. If no vaccine, will wait until February 2022. We want to stay at Fort Wilderness cabins next time and are excited for a break from the winter at FW where we can explore trails, horseback ride, and go kayaking. Maybe take a day or two at Universal.

Just curious, why wait til a vaccine? I'm not shaming you or anything, just wondering.

I personally think too many people are putting hopes on a vaccine before going back to a normalcy. A vaccine that I think will be years, or may never come.

For those who have are rescheduling, you will have an extra year to plan. Will you save up some extra funds to possible upgrade your resort or length of trip? Maybe plan an extra special dining reservation or maybe add a trip to the beach onto your vacation? All kinds of possibilities.

We are saving money hoping to upgrade our resort. Also, joined the “Walk to Disney” forum to get in better shape. Aiming for an August 2021 trip at YC. :sail:

June 13-19th at Poly. Made the call this morning to reschedule to same time in 2021. Not interested in wearing masks or having limited experiences. We went last September, so while super bummed were okay with the decision.

Count DH & I in!! We were supposed to head down in April for F&G & to Italy in July for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Then had to cancel Italy & move Disney from April to July. Finally last Monday we canceled our Disney trip as well. Soo...we are more than ready to move on! DH wants Easter week 2021 (BWI or Yacht) for 8 nights but I want July 2021 for our 26th Anniversary (10 nights but same resorts). I plan on booking the day packages are released.

I'm disappointed about this year but considering what so many people are going thru right now a vacation doesn't matter in the least.

Thanks for the positive thread!!

Love the positivity! I mentioned several pages ago we were going perhaps this fall and April 2021 but we pushed it allll out to November 2021. Our son gets pnemonia every winter a couple of times and we’re just not taking chances. We live in MA and have to fly also.

so are there any upgrades you guys gonna do with postponed trips?! We will still use our DVC points on a studio but we will have extra time to save so we’re gonna add another day of park tickets and I want to buy a new Disney Dooney while I’m there!

Can you guys do BOTH trips?! ;-)

Today my husband and I and 3 adult children would have been making our first return trip to WDW in 20 years. We picked this year because it would be 20 years plus it's our 30th wedding anniversary in June (yes we honeymooned at WDW). I planned for 2 years. We had talked about what would happen if one of our parents (mine are in their late 80s) got ill etc. The thing that wasn't on our radar was a pandemic! Today is a sad day for me I had been waiting for so long to get back.
We are rescheduling for May 2021. We're hoping to splurge and do a split stay. We'd like to surprise our daughter with a few nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Because we will celebrate her 30th birthday at WDW. It's going to depend on the cost. I'm hoping that many of the first's we were going to experience this year we still get to do next year. A dessert party, POFQ (our first time), Flower and Garden, After Hours Event etc.
This time we will include pandemic in our discussions. We probably will reschedule if we have to wear masks in the parks but will wear them on the plane no matter what. Praying there is a vaccine by then or at the very least rapid testing availble to Disney.

I would love to do an extra day (considering now we have over a year to save!) but I want to see what the packages look like when they come out. for us, we're keeping exactly what we had.... we're going to do the GF with a lagoon view (that was my must do) and the deluxe dining (my husband's must do) . I'll just be so happy when Disney releases the 2021 packages. I think it will help everyone's spirits. :cool1::cool1:

We were actually supposed to be.on our way to the world right now.. check in tomorrow.. it was myself, DH, and my son whose 4th bday is on Sunday. So we are planning to reschedule for next May. Exciting thing is now that my parents and brothers can go next year, so it will be a nice group trip! I cannot wait for ratatouille.. I think I am most excited about that!!!
