Anyone else started Christmas shopping ?

I agree with shipping delays. An order I placed today on Amazon with prime shipping has my items arriving 11/28 to 12/5

I checked my order with Amazon, and it was back ordered again (2nd time) , and not deliverable till next year... So I cancelled the order... Dealing with Amazon always burns my cookies.. I was telling my neighbor and she was like really I never have any problems, so she texted me yesterday, and her ordered is back ordered, till next year... She was so mad... as she needs the gifts for now to mail to the overseas in order for them to make it by Christmas...She called me at 8:00 am and was already out shopping, she is expecting a delivery today from Macy's, and wants me to pick it up off her porch, so that it doesn't go missing. Her son had porch pirates, try to get something on his porch, and had to chase them off. Luckily they did not get the packages...

I think I am finished. I have to go to Target this afternoon and do a curbside pick up for the dish towels/dish cloths I bought for my step-mom.

I wrote down yesterday all the packages that I am expecting so I can cross them off as they come and make sure everything I am expecting gets here. The UPS/Mail/FedEx delivery people will be making LOTS of stops at my house the next week or so with all the things I've ordered.

I just started. It won't be a lot of gifts this year at home as mine are getting older and don't really want much, and I'm not mailing anything out of town this year except gift cards and cards.

Waiting to see if Target will do the 10% off gift cards offer the first weekend in December!

Doesn't Target also have a deal where you spend $50 on Black Friday and get a 20% off coupon to use later? I seem to recall they've done this for several years.

Hmm, I don't know. I didn't see it when I flipped through the Target website today looking at deals.

Amazon shipping delays are starting. My dd fish tank was to be delivered today ( ordered prime on 11/17) and hasn't shipped yet. Afraid this is going to continue. Planning to finish everything this week.

That's why I tried to get everything ordered nice and early too. Even things that have shown as shipped from Kohls, Old Navy, and a couple other places are showing as shipped but haven't gotten any scans yet. So far, my Amazon stuff (that was fulfilled by Amazon) has gotten here quickly.

I've got 3/4ths of shopping done for my immediate family and 1/2 my nieces and nephews done (the other 5 will get gift cards if they don't send ideas by Dec 1:))...

Now, I'm waiting for deliveries and then making sure I'm "even-ish" and then which relative sends me money to buy for my kids from them vs presents (our last remaining grandparent set does this every year, but just in case this is the year they change, I hold off on that shopping)...

Me! Me! I'm almost finished. YAY! I never finish this early. I started purchasing online when everyone ran their early Black Friday sales. I have become BFFs with QVC. I definitely need to get back to the office and stop working from home. LOL! I have my lil brother left to shop for and I'm FINISHED! I have no idea what to get him. I'm waiting to see if Garrett's popcorn runs a special over the Thanksgiving weekend so I can send a huge bucket of Chicago mix to my SIL and her family in FL.

I've taken out my Christmas trees and I'll start getting them ready to put up this week. Thanksgiving weekend I plan to start wrapping gifts, excuse me putting gifts in sacks that I purchased from QVC. I'm usually up all night wrapping gifts Christmas Eve. But not this year. Thanks Covid!

I bit the bullet and purchased the two cell phones we needed yesterday - I had some credit card bonus offers for online shopping the 24th thru 30th, so I used those to get at least a bit of a discount.

Now I'm firmly onto the buying "just because it crosses my mind and there's a good sale" stage. Yesterday I decided I needed (ok, wanted) a new bluetooth speaker with a speakerphone for my office - it hadn't even crossed my mind before, but I read something that triggered me to decide I HAD to have one . So I picked up the JBL Flip 4 at Best Buy on sale. For some reason, they dropped the speakerphone feature from the Flip 5, so I needed to get the 4 while there was still stock. Note I won't use it for work calls - I use Teams or Skype with a headset for those - it'll just be used for personal calls on my cell phone, which are mostly from my sister or daughter, a few times a week. So...yeah....

But tomorrow we start decorating! (Our Thanksgiving tradition) Friday will be a quiet day, since DD is working a large part of the day - mostly I plan to just wrap packages, maybe make a quick run to get some Poinsettias, depending on whether Home Depot has them on sale. Then Saturday we will get our tree and decorate it - that usually ends up in my making a store run or two to replace some sort of dead lights or something similar.

Today I got DH a flannel shirt, hickory farm sausage and cheese and different beef jerky sticks/items for his stocking. And a new wireless mouse.

I did the Online from target itune cards deal- for the kids. I will let DD use the bonus $40 earned for stuff for their stockings there. I found a face cleanser pad thing for DD.

DS for his stocking extra charging cord and snacks/candy for stocking.

almost done.... now just waiting on the final couple of shipments to come in.

Still have the moms... my mom and the MIL to do, but that should be able to be done local with an easy gift cert and bid seed wreath planned.

DD: Dr Martens boots, Zelda Hyrule, Loungefly backpacks
DS: Hoodies, Marshall headphones, gamer crap, Ghosts of Tsushima
DH: Tottenham Spurs jersey, D&D stuff

My youngest ds finally gave me some ideas. He picked out sneakers and a sweater and a crew sweatshirt to go with them. I've got them all ordered and on their way!
My dd sent me a wish list from Loungefly so I ordered a couple things from there.
My other ds picked out a pair of wireless earbuds to go with his phone so I ordered them.
Stocking stuffers for everyone are done.
I ordered my dad's gift from me and dh today. It gets delivered before Christmas so tomorrow while I'm out I'll get him a few things "from the kids" to open on Christmas Day while he's here.
I got my friend's dd marquee letters for her room.
I bought myself a hand poured candle in a bread bowl. It's the most expensive candle I have ever purchased
It's official, I'm done :cool1:

I just discovered a pop up SEE’s Candy Store at local mall.
I purchased my own Xmas Candy Box from kids already wrapped for their convenience too. SEE’s wraps for every holiday. And their gold chocolate coins are actually good quality chocolate and real money coins on the outside (gold foil that looks like real coins ) . Santa will place them in the correct stockings hopefully. And a box of vanilla, butterscotch, coffee, lollipops assorted. So good
I love SEE’s

I have $75 kohls cash to spend and I already got all my presents for everyone, including a few extra things. And we finally picked our secret santas yesterday, and I'm actually done with 2/3 of them.

Any good suggestions of things that I may neeeeeeeed in my life? :P

Yes, and this is cheap!!!
You need supplies to make a Disney Binder and plan a couple trips (different resort & different restaurants). Always try to include a few new experiences!

Hi everyone... OP here,
Now that Black Friday, and weekend shopping is almost over.. and cyber Monday is tomorrow just checking in to see how everyone did...

I got a later start on Black Friday than normal, I got out around 8:30 am ish... To be honest after cooking 2 Thanksgivings, one for my parents on Tuesday then drove 130 miles RT to deliver it on Wednesday and then cooked for my family on Thursday, I was tired. Also I really did not know what to expect... List in hand I started out... Kohls was on my radar 1st up, I did really good, was lucky enough to get everything on my list and then some.. I scored a Kindle Fire 8 for my Grandson, he was ready for a upgrade and I got it at the sales price 79.99... I did find some jeans for my mom, she has lost so much weight, that I am hoping that these won't be to big, they were on sale for 14.99, in Petite.. which I had a hard time early on finding petites in a smaller size... the annual bra sale was going on, hallelujah.. 14.99 yes please, I can not see paying 50 and 60 buck for one bra, I picked up a Coke hoodie for my DD, which was not on my list, and at 9.99 it was such a good price, its light weight and super soft she will love it. The kids department was turned up side-down so much so that I skipped looking for my great niece some PJ's or an outfit... When I was speaking to a employee, she said that they had a line at 5:00am... I was glad that I waited to head out shopping, I missed it the chaos, the store was busy, and I got lucky and did not even have to wait in line check out... As I was leaving cars had started streaming into the parking lot.

Next up Wal-mart - I had finally found a toaster oven for my parents in the black friday ad's. I thought for sure that I would miss out due to how late I started out shopping... I asked a employee, and she said hang on a second, and here comes a palette full of them, I was like wow, the stock guy took one off the pile and even put it in my cart for me... 49.99.. which I was really happy about, I thanked her and she said oh our manager, has us bring out stuff in intervals, so that everyone gets a chance, as well there is stock in the back for the curbside pick up.. Which I thought was really fair. I picked up some more legos' for my grandson, and some kinda pokemon thing, don't ask I have no idea what I even bought, when he and I were in the store, he was on and on about it, so I went back and got it... I headed over to the grocery side to pick up a few things on my regular Wal-mart run, and I asked where the marshmallows were, and the manager directed me, and then said, just so you know we have started limiting certain items again, I was oh I think that's great, that everyone has a chance to get what they need... I did get lucky and score a big package of bounty paper towels, limit 1 - no TP in the whole store... I noticed that all the can goods had limit's signs, only because I was in those aisles...

Next up Bealls - I completely struck out here...nothing that was on my list...

I was planning to hit JoAnn's and Home Goods & Marshall, Ross and Old Navy, all of them had lines outside of the stores to wait to go in, Nope, did not feel like waiting to get into the store... I then decided to swing around over to V. Secrets, and Bath and Body, again both of those lines to get into the store where really long, I decided then I wasn't even going to try to get into Target, so I just headed home, had some leftovers for lunch and watched a movie...

Yesterday I picked up a cook book at First Watch for my son in law... we went in for breakfast really yummy...

Today we hit up, Best buy for the other item that was on my son in laws list, ear buds... we got lucky we got sony ear buds for 69.99 which was the black friday price, he was like the sign is still up you get them for that price... sweet...

My DH is laying down right now, and I did sort everything, I actually am almost done !!!!! Yay :cool1: pixiedust:

I need to get my Dad some smaller shorts, and T-shirts for around the house, he has lost so much weight... I need some gift cards, which are easy peasy, Some type of Star Wars t-shirt for my son in law, one more thing for DH, Candy and some odds and ends for the stockings... and I will be all done... I need and Elvis calendar for my mom...

I have 45.00 in Kohl's cash, plus I should have a 20 dollar Kohls' store points cert. on Dec the 1st, and I have either a 15 or 20% off the total purchase... so that should help out, I am shopping again on Tuesday... So I will let you know how it shakes out at Kohls...

I plan on decorating outside, putting up my tree, wrapping gifts this week... and be done with it by the weekend... Hopefully I will get it all done..

Happy Shopping everyone, we are in the home stretch now...

I'm doing so much better this year than I usually do! We only ship out 1 box and it is ready to go about 3 weeks earlier than usual. Just need for father-in-law (any ideas?-he likes to sit in his recliner and watch youtube on his phone) and waiting for a list from sister-in-law. Then need to talk myself into running out for stocking stuffers.
