Surprisingly landed a 10am Ohana this morning about 9am from OKW. It was a great way to start our MK day. Quick review:

Pineapple Bread - Just a slight step above Entenmanns (Sorry)
Potatoes - Excellent...well spiced and well cooked.
Sausage - Typical Disney breakfast sausage. Well cooked.
Eggs - Tasted fine but questioned if they were instant. I said no but the wife says yes.
Ham - Delicious. (Secretly wished SPAM was served though..ssshhh)
Waffles - Best we've had on property. Fresh!
POG Juice - Awesome as usual.
Atmosphere - The best part. There is no better hotel on property in our opinion. We just love being at the Poly and starting our day there. So happy to be part of the first wave of the OHANA reopening.
We are back for dinner tomorrow night!......

It's all you can eat cause you can't eat any of it...shrimp casserole (nuff said) , grade F beef and lab chicken rejects. Watch it be awesome. My ADR is Sept 4th.

I really wanted it to be a glowing review, but I can't say I'm surprised.

So, I said in the old thread that the shrimp casserole would be tragic...and just looking at the pics on that review, it was as bad as I envisioned.

It's also not a surprise the chicken seems to also be in the "tragic" category, although not as bad as the shrimp (but undercooking the chicken - oh boy - someone needs to control that kitchen quality). I'm actually most surprised they somehow screwed up the dumplings - how can dumplings not be served with a dipping sauce?

Nope. They did say the managers were open to feedback. If this review holds true, I hope they continue to get plenty regarding the casserole (Everyone knew that would miss) and the sauces.

My family loved Ohanas just the way it was. When I left the place (usually
miserably happy) I couldn’t wait for our next visit. I would brag on the place to anyone back home that would listen. Not sure what brought about the change but If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!! In the past (even with it being pricey) we always felt like we got our money’s worth. Now, shrimp casserole and baked chicken jist don’t cut it. The wings were great, love the pork dumplings, noodles salad etc was excellent. The steak was average at best and was always third on our list behind the grilled chicken and shrimp. the bread pudding is always good but for $55 per plate....WE DONT WANT shrimp casserole and baked chicken. Disappointed to say the least. WILL NOT be back the way it is now. However, while we were eating the manager came by asking about our experience. We had a respectful but truthful conversation and I think he is well aware of the disgruntled Ohanas fans already. I am hopeful for and truly expect changes in the near future. But I have to ask...Shrimp casserole and Baked chicken???....ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

Glad you said something !! Honestly, did Disney really think for these prices that the chicken and Shrimp Casserole would go over well--- ?? Especially with no skewers !!

I truly hope that guests with bad experiences, food that is undercooked or terrible in general speak to the manager and ask to
be comped for what you think is unacceptable.

Not at all surprised, but disappointed at the dinner reviews coming in.

In the Blog Mickey article it says that they have done away with the peanut dipping sauce "because of the prevalence of nut allergies,". In the United States, peanut allergy is present in 0.6% of the population.
