Most Beautiful Place in the World

I am partial to British Columbia. ☺ Our licence does say “Beautiful British Columbia“. 💕 I also love the Oregan Coast ( Cannon Beach) and Maui. Also Bali.
We’re sitting on the tarmac at YVR now, headed home from a little time on the Sunshine Coast. It was picturesque; I thought the same thing about the Niagara region of southern Ontario when we were there last year and of course Alberta’s mountains, prairie and sky are amazing, especially at this time of year. :goodvibes Such an amazing nation and so much beauty of all kinds - and so much more left to see.:lovestruc

At heart I’m a city person and in all my travels I think it’s the city skylines I love most. In Paris, the Eiffel Tower backdropped against a dusk sky was magical. I also will never forget the coastal view of Capri, Italy, when viewed from an approaching boat. And the cenotes (sink holes) inside the river caves in Belize absolutely defy description. SUCH WONDROUS THINGS TO SEE IN THIS WIDE WORLD! How could you ever choose a favourite?

Love the beach, the rock formations, exploring the tidal pools and the sunset. We had a great family vacation there when my kids were small and I found it beautiful. Even though I am on the West Coast now I didn’t grow up with these views.

Yes Cannon Beach is great. We love visiting. So much nicer than Seaside.

Snake River.

Yosemite National Park. Standing at tunnel view or at Glacier Point is breathtaking! Glacier National Park is a close second!

edited to add that after I posted my response, I saw Jims post with the photos of Yosemite! Gorgeous!! We have been to Yosemite twice and can't wait to go back!

Just for the record, I didn't take any of those pictures, although we have similar ones. They're from Google Images.

I have kind of a mean sense of humor, and I am blessed with a wife who is really quite a good photographer -- especially for things that hold still like landscapes and flowers, not so much with wildlife. So I played a nasty trick on her on our first trip to Yosemite together.

We entered the south end of the park and made our way along the mountainside toward Wawona Tunnel. We stopped in a futile attempt for her to get a pic of a coyote, but otherwise it was an uneventful ride. We entered the tunnel with her still completely clueless.

But as soon as we exited the tunnel, she started literally screaming: "STOP THE CAR! STOP THE CAR! STOP THE DAMN CAR!" I just laughed and pulled into one of the parking lots. We stayed there almost two hours, with her taking pictures the whole time!

And then, about 20 years later, we pulled the same trick on DD15!

But I have to say, as beautiful as the pictures are, they don't begin to capture the vastness and grandeur of the place.

I think the most jaw-dropping was driving through Montana, Big Sky Country, at just the right time of day and just the right weather. Glorious

Glacier National Park is on the short list of next places to vacation. We loved Yosemite when we visited.

Too many to pick. We live in an amazing world and I wish everyone could travel and see some of these amazing places!

I lived in Pacific Grove for awhile. I've also lived in Thailand, Indonesia, and a few other places. They're all beautiful. But I haven't seen the world yet. The Mediterranean is on my bucket list.
