Official March 2022 thread!

I got my ADRs this morning. I ended up getting Artist Point around 9AM. Nothing was showing up for that one at 5AM, but when I checked again at 9, there it was. I got dinners at Artist Point, Narcoossee’s, and ‘Ohana. And I got a Grand Floridian Cafe breakfast. I’m debating on picking up a Steakhouse 71 dinner for our Animal Kingdom night since AK closes at 7PM (and we aren’t park commando people…we’ll probably be back at our resort, GF, by 5PM).

What is the best parentheses i.e., fastest and /or least glitchy) way to book ADRs?

I used the app. I knew what restaurants I wanted, so I just:
started typing it in the search bar
selected the restaurant when I saw it
selected my party number
selected the day
selected “dinner” or whatever time period I wanted
selected the time that worked best

But, before all of that make sure you are logged in, all your stuff is showing up right, and payment info is there.

We booked a short, three night stay at the Boardwalk for Mar 6 - 9th. We haven't stayed at the BWI since January of 2009 so it will fun to stay there again. We love the Flower and Garden Show and the weather in early March tends to be really nice. :)

Our ADR window opened today. We have a short trip in March at VGF 3/18-3/22. I was able to get the reservations I wanted which included Sci-Fi, Ohana, Citricos, Jungle Skipper Canteen, Oga’s, Narcoosee and The Plaza. When my window opened at 6am CT, the website was very glitchy on my PC so I switched to my iPad and booked through the app. The only reservation I had issues with was The Plaza for lunch at MK. We weren’t interested in CRT this trip but there were no Plaza reservations available right at 6am. 20 minutes later, the window for that restaurant opened, bizarre! Good luck to everyone scheduling their ADRs!

We had ADRs on Sunday (for our hotel only stay at Riviera) and the rest of our ADRS for our hotel/park stay at CBR. It was a successful ADR with the exception of Coral Reef on our first park day. I have Mouse Dining alerts set up for it, and feel good about one coming available. We were able to get the following and all at the times we wanted -- woo woo!

Sebastians, Via Napoli, San Angel and La Haciena (back-ups to Coral Reef), The Plaza, Liberty Tree Tavern, Tusker House (mmmmmmm), Beaches & Cream, 50s Prime, Topoloinos Breakfast, Topolinos Dinner, Space 220 Dinner, Ohana Dinner, & Mama Melrose.

Anyone know what is going on with Cape May breakfast reservations. There aren't any openings after the second week of February or so. I know that is when they are transitioning back to buffet style, but wonder when reservations will be available???

I've added 2 more. I have Chef Art Smith on the day that we couldn't get a dinner reservation. I have never been there before. I also added Raglan Road to to our arrival night.

I'm thinking for some future trip I am going to not make any ADRs and just leave it up to chance. I will look to see what is available each day and choose from those options. Just for giggles I checked the availability for today and there were several options available that I would like.

We struck out on all our wanted reservations so far. Makes me nervous for when the rest open for the rest of the week since I need birthday ones on the 23rd and 27th!

We have always had luck using Mouse Dining to snag any reservations that we couldn't get, or wanted to try for a different time. I bet there will be a lot that fall off at the payment deadline. Good luck!

Love GFC for breakfast! We are trying Steakhouse 71 as well...I have heard good things!

Awesome! Nothing like a Flower and Garden trip! I will add you to the roll call. :)

Things worked out so well for you! Sci-Fi is a hard one to score these days!

Oh no! What restaurants were you hoping for? Maybe if you set an alert on one of the services they will come through.

Wow!! You did well getting Topolinos for breakfast and dinner!

That's exactly my plan for my solo trip in August. When I don't have to worry about what someone else would like it will be easy to pick up something on the fly! :)

Ours is next week, but we're hoping for Ohana, Sanaa, Steakhouse 71, Chef Art Smith's, Beaches and Cream, and maaaaaybe somewhere at Epcot. We're on the fence if we actually want to sit down and eat at Epcot, or just eat our way around the world 🤣

I already booked Big River Grille via OpenTable too.

We're hoping for dinner (before the fireworks) at Be Our Guest on the 23rd for the 7 year old's birthday and then breakfast or lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table for the 5 year old's birthday on the 27th since that's the day we leave and we want to try to do something special before we head to the airport!

Struck out on Chef Mickey's for the first part of the trip.

What services do people use for ADR pings?

Mouse dining or mouse watchers are pretty popular.

Good luck on the birthday reservations!

Sounds amazing! I would love to do a solo trip to WDW. (Heck, right now I'd be happy to do a solo trip to anywhere just to get out of the house!)

My husband started my love of solo trips when he gave me a 4n/5d solo trip to the Boardwalk for my 50th birthday! That was in 2016 and since then I did an 8 day solo trip staying at AKL (2017), an 8 day solo trip staying at the Poly (2018), a 5 day offsite March Break trip on my own (2019) and a 3 day solo Christmas trip (2019). My DH and I did a 10 day couples trip for our 20th anniversary in July 2019 and last summer I took my 21 year old son for a mother/son trip to celebrate his 21st. Solo trips are a lot of fun especially for mothers as when do we ever have a chance to do precisely what we want when we feel like doing it??

All my trip reports are linked in my signature if you feel like checking them out. :)

We haven't been able to get reservations at Cape May for dinner on 3/8 or Ale and Compass for breakfast on 3/9. I have them set up on Touring plans dining reservations finder, so hope that works. I read on another thread that reservations were going to be released on Jan 20th so maybe they will suddenly open up then. :)

We've always had success with Mouse Alerts. Our TA has used Touring Plans in the past but she said she's recently switched over to Mouse Alerts and likes that better. With Mouse Alerts you get six free alerts per email address.

Oh great, thanks for the date tip! I've made a note and will check again. I have alerts set up for Cape May and Ale and Compass too. Ha!

ADR's went well this morning! Both the website and app were pretty glitchy at 6am, so I kept switching between my iPad and desktop depending on which was working at the moment :D. We were able to get everything we wanted including 'Ohana, Yak & Yeti, Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier, Sci-Fi, and even lunch at Space 220 so we are pretty excited!

Hmmm. I was able to get Ale & Compass breakfast for March 22.

ADR's went well this morning!
Excellent! Congratulations!
