we'll let diana be the judge of that. ;)

You know, I wasn't the one that gave you that name. We could go back through all the pages of the 12-18 thread and try to figure out who it was, but I really did think it was OM. Or was it Stacey?

Now I guess I should state the case for Deck 5 aft, since we are the only ones that stay there. We picked it our first cruise by recommendation on the boards, and we loved it. Stayed in the same cabin, 5624 on the Christmas cruise. We are booked in the most forward balcony cabin on deck 5 for this cruise 5622, no chance of anyone's smoke drifting back to us, since in front of us are lifeboats. It's the closest spot to the water on a balcony, great for watching docking activities. It's just steps away from the stairs and elevators, the elevators go right up to the drink station on Deck 9 from there. And it's very, very quiet. The only noise was a few teens on the Christmas cruise that decided to have a party at the stairwell late at night, it spilled over into the hallway outside our door. But they chased off easily. I'm sure it had something to do with my grumpy face. No, Stacey, wasn't your kid. The teens on the Christmas cruise had 10 days to get progressively more bold in their troublemaking, I think.

Also need a double oven. How about all you cooks out there....is getting a convection oven worth it? My SIL has one and she likes it, not like she cooks in it. My BIL usually does. Is it worth the extra $$? Let's see, refrigerator, double wall oven....oh yeah, a 36" gas cooktop, too. I'm looking to get the continuous grates with the 5 burners. Maria:flower:

In my next kitchen I will have double ovens and a convection will be part of it. The restaurant I take lessons at uses them and they speed up the process. I want the other oven for warming.

My ideal gas cooktop would be at least 42" and have a flat top grill on it. I do a lot of searing and a flat top is perfect for that. 5 burners would be great. I can never have enough cooking space. I would make sure your 5 burners are far enough apart to handle the pans you use. Some of the cooktops have lots of burners, but they are so close you can't get all your pans on them.

I'm starting to get a little jealous here!

[:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Friday!

The clothes are packed! We'll pack the carry-on tonight. Our flight leaves at 7 am tomorrow. We'll spend tomorrow afternoon with the Scuba's!!!

Well, I can't claim to be a cook, but I do love my convection oven. I use the convection part about 1/3 of the time I use my oven. Love to bake a whole chicken using the convection. Yummy.

Ok, it's Friday kareoke. Here's one for all those who will be traveling this weekend (especially with kids) from 'The Goofy Movie':

Goofy:
Do ya need a break from modern livin'?
Do ya long to shed your weary load?
If your nerves are raw
And your brain is fried
Just grab a friend and take a ride
Together upon the open road
C'mon, Maxie! Ah-yuk!
Max:
All in all, I'd rather have detention
All in all, I'd rather eat a toad
Goofy:
Yuck!
Max:
And the old man drives like such a klutz
That I'm about to hurl my guts
Directly upon the road
Goofy:
There's nothin' can upset me
'Cause now we're on our way
Our trusty map will guide us straight and true
Max:
Roxanne, please don't forget me
I will return someday
Though I may be in traction when I do
Goofy:
Me and Max relaxin' like the old days
Max:
This is worse than dragon breath and acne
Goofy:
In a buddy-buddy kind of mode
Max:
I'm so mad
I think I may explode
Goofy:
When I see that highway, I could cry
Max:
Ya know, that's funny
So could I
Both:
Just bein' out on the open road
Female Country Singers:
Howdy, boys
Is this the way to Nashville?
Tow Truck Driver:
Watch it, Mac!
Or you'll be gettin' towed
Prisoner:
I'm in no hurry to arrive
'Cause I'll be turnin' sixty-five
The next time I see the open road
Small Man:
Just a week of rest and relaxtion
Large Woman:
Yeah!
Small Man:
And the odd romantic episode
Max:
Very odd!
Mickey Mouse:
It's Californ-eye-ay or bust
Old Lady:
Look out, you dirtbags
Eat my dust
>From now on, I own the open road!
Goofy:
Just me and little Maxie
My pipsqueak pioneer
Nuns:
Their car ventures forever westward ho
Nuns and Goofy:
Yeehaw!
Max:
Could someone call a taxi
And get me outta here
To Beverly Hills 9-0-2-1-0
Chorus and Goofy:
Every day another new adventure
Every mile another new zip code
And the cares we had are gone for good
Max:
And I'd go with them if I could
Goofy and Chorus:
I've got no strings on me
I'm feelin' fancy-free
How wonderful to be
On the open road!

In an ongoing effort to stay at least one post behind Kevin for the duration of this thread, my morning missive...

We made a deal that we get the bottom freezer if I could get the french door style. I can't wait. I'm going for the big momma, too. 25 cu.ft.

I want one!!!! When we bought our house (2 years ago today to be exact), it had a brand new fridge that the previous owners left behind (they only lived there 6 months... new house ?:confused3 ... what can I say, she was one of those weirdo doctor-types)... but when that one goes, or we buy a new house- whichever comes first, I want one of those!! I hate our stove, but it cooks, and Ray doesn't want a new one unless he can get a Viking... not in the budget right now.

Oh, that's HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Magic killer! This is a family board. What if some poor unsuspecting child happens upon that!!!
What... Mickey ate a CM??!!!:earseek: How terrible!

When we were at LTT 2 weeks ago, Chip comes over to our table while we're eating dinner, and Christopher looks up at him and says, "Hi Chip, I'm nuts!" I thought he/she was going to fall on the floor laughing. That's Christopher, though... a comment for every occasion... hmm... wonder who he gets THAT from??

ohiominnie said:
Ok, wait a sec. Maybe I'm slow....my two kids don't share a bed and we stay in a cat 6. ???????????????
Mine either... and we've got that Cat 9 in the dungeon.

Mary... have a great time! Hopefully yesterday's awful weather :umbrella: + :boat: cleared out the weather forecast for you!

And for good measure... it IS Friday... karaoke- in honor of our move 2 years ago today... Ray's theme song...

He left Maine 'cause he needed a change
And he was desperate to rearrange priorities
And he thought the sea would be the best place to be
So he saved his money, sold his car
And with his eye set on a Southern star
Got the courage to follow his heart
Set out for a brand new start

He's an island boy
Now he's an island boy
Living his life where stress is the enemy
Now he's an island boy
A stone's throw from St. Croix
He's finally found his piece of serenity

Now he tends bar at the Old Mango
And he sees tourists come and go
With their pressed pants and camera case
Too much sun burned on their face
Now he watches the snow on CNN
With all of his dope-smokin' friends
Just look at the hell they must be in
Swears he won't go back again

He's an island boy
Now he's an island boy
Living his life where stress is the enemy
Now he's an island boy
A stone's throw from St. Croix
He's finally found his piece of serenity

You know the love of his life has always been Emily
She loves the man she sees
In her island boy
Now he's an island boy
Living his life where stress is the enemy
Now he's an island boy
A stone's throw from St. Croix
He's finally found his piece of serenity

:earseek: Saved my 200 post for something profound! Kareoke!!! :earseek:

MY FAVOURTIE BEATLES SONG::::::::

I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden in the shade
He'd let us in, knows where we've been
In his octopus' garden in the shade

I'd ask my friends to come and see
An octopus' garden with me
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden in the shade.

We would be warm below the storm
In our little hideaway beneath the waves
Resting our head on the sea bed
In an octopus' garden near a cave

We would sing and dance around
because we know we can't be found
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden in the shade

We would shout and swim about
The coral that lies beneath the waves
(Lies beneath the ocean waves)
Oh what joy for every girl and boy
Knowing they're happy and they're safe
(Happy and they're safe)

We would be so happy you and me
No one there to tell us what to do
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden with you.

Now I'll look and see what you all have been up to.
HAPPY FRIDAY - Safe journies if you are traveling! :moped:

Thanks Amanda
I wouldn't worry about it. Lets ALL play the game!!

Diana had to put together some dance outfits for the two girls in one of Alicia's dance numbers a few months ago and was having a horrible time. Turns out the machine needed some repairs. We borrowed the SIL for a will to finish.
