We once had a similar experience at the DLH.
We had a standard room in June 2006 on the Fantasia Garden side. And during our 3 nights the fountains had a huge refurbishment every night. The first night they needed hours to take all the water out.
The next night they cleaned the whole fountain. And the last night they put the water back in.
Look at this picture what for equipment they used. We even heard it a bit when we had our window closed.
But I would love to see the things that you saw from your balcony. (Emergency test, parade going backwards and so on)
When I read your TR yesterday evening I said to my boyfriend:
“I don’t know what she is complaining about?”
And he said to me:
“I know you would have spent the whole night on the balcony; watching and filming.”
And that is exactly what I would do.
When we stayed at the DLH in June 2006 I sat in one of the alleys of the hotel and watched the Castle and I was so happy to see the tests for Wishes. On this day I wished we would have had a CC room in the upper floor.
But you are right the maintenance is a drawback of the DLH as this can only be done during the night.
But ain’t it the dream of every real Disneyfan to see what is going on in the parks at night?
And by the way: Thank you Thank you Thank you for your great trip report.
This trip must have cost a fortune?
I never expected to see pictures of the Riz here at the DIS.
