My wife and I love Disney World - probably even more than our two boys (14 and 11). We are in our very late (very very late) 40s and have been many many times (just like most of the folks reading this). When we had money we stayed at the GF and when we didn't we stayed off campus. We've been on a number of cruises too. Last year we bought DVC. Now it seems like we are going even more then ever before.
We are very fortunate to be able to afford all this fun and we understand that this is our hobby (and our escape).
For years people have made fun of us for going to Disney World so much. Mostly family and almost always its gentle ribbing (they love it too). We don't bring up Disney World and don't brag to others about going but it does come up from time to time and I have noticed that folks are making more fun of it and even eye-rolling and "there he goes to Disney again." I could care less what others do with their free time: Nascar, college football, politics, quilting.
I wonder if others have experienced this.
