Get a little Give a little, Pixie Dust that is - Completed

Not a real update but... We took pictures for DD's almost 1st birthday and look what made it in.... View attachment 103411

That made me laugh so hard. When my youngest was about 8 months, a bunch of my college friends decided to have an impromptu reunion in Las Vegas. I was still nursing, so I took my youngest along (which was a trip - want to feel like a bad parent - tote your infant through a casino on the strip). The hotel I was staying at had a House of Blues in it. Santana was playing the weekend after I left, but they had a gift shop all set up with Santana-themed stuff. Apparently that includes a lot of sugar skulls and day-of-the-dead themed items. I bought Aria a pair of maracas because she thought they were the coolest toys ever. So for about a year - until they broke - she played with a pair of red maracas with Santana's name stamped on them.

Take your time! I'm horrible at keeping up anyhow.

Now I am avoiding my last post as then it will really feel over!!

Ahhhhahahaha! I love this picture! :rotfl:

Thank you!
That's what you get! :rotfl2:
This is now my life isn't it...

It looks like you guys had a great time!

We really did!

Too cute! :-)

Thank you!

Thats so nice of you! And when we left a DME bus just pulled up to drop people off. So jealous. And make me even more sad to leave.

UGH the worst feeling leaving while other people are arriving, i know its selfish but i only want to be the arrival not the departure.

Great update!

Thank you!

I love your PP pass...even if DD is sleeping, again. ;)

Always sleep! Where is the sleeping smiley , this will do!

I'm glad you enjoyed your meals (we've never been there, but I don't eat Mexican food).

Its pretty good but if you don't like Mexican I would pass for sure
I was :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: over this: "proud owners of a green Maraca from Mexico in Epcot" Welcome to parenthood.

She loves that thing! At least it was a good buy!

I never knew they did that with the books in America...good to know for future grandchildren.

They are really nice, if you want to see the insides let me know i will PM you some pics!

She is soooo CUTE!!!!

Thank you!

How cute that pic is of your daughter, love that the green maraca made an appearance!

She loves that thing! I also realized that my current cellphone background has her holding it too! :-)

Don't you just hate when your trips and TR's are coming to a close :guilty:

I know! I am avoiding the next update as it will be my last. Really over

I'm so excited for your upcoming DL trip though!! Any formal announcement on a PTR yet??? I need to live vicariously through everyone else that has trips planned sooner than our next one!

I am really excited and hope it works out! I always want to commit right away my husband will wait a little while longer....

Your Fitbit steps still blow me away, I'm totally doing that on my next trip!!

I have a love hate relationship with this FitBit, Its really cool but at the same time i obsess over it!

Too cute! The green maraca cracks me up!

Me too! She loves it! :-)

Oh my gosh I am literally the worst at keeping up to date right now! Sorry! I am all caught up now! And I am gonna try and stay up to date and be a better commenter ::yes::
But seriously, your DD is just far too adorable!

I am really behind on my TR's too, I have some to still catch up on!

Plus I really want her outfit...does that come in my size??? :rotfl:

I am sure we can find it in your size! I kinda want one too! :D

At least it coordinates with the green in her dress! :cutie:

I was thinking the SAME THING!

Oh gosh the envy felt when you see people arriving as you're at the end of your trip, the worst. I wanted to cry when we were waiting at our gate for the flight home, and we saw people just arriving with their disney gear and big smiles.

Its the worst, it makes you extra sad you have to go home!

OMG I'm:rotfl2:! Infant in Vegas with Santana maraca, i mean this is the stuff parenthood is made of, i am slowly learning this and loving it!!

I have been avoiding this post... DEPARTURE DAY!

Day 5 – We go home

We originally had a 1900 park breakfast at 8:25. We thought it may be a little rushed so we decided we were better off skipping the breakfast. But the DME wasn’t picking us up till 10:45 so we had sometime to kill.

We decided to meet at 8:20ish and head to MK, we didn’t have park tickets so we were just going to walk there and watch the welcome show and head back to the Contemporary.

This was really a perfect way to end our trip, we went in past the bag check but before the park entrance and stood towards the back and center. DD loved the show, she was clapping and smiling, my in-laws hadn’t seen it before and they seemed to enjoy it too. We hadn’t caught it yet this trip so it was great to be able to see it.

After the welcome show we waited for the entrance to clear a little (a boat had just docked) and then we walked back to the Contemporary, did some more shopping. We had already dropped our luggage off so it was just changing DD to her travel outfit, giving the rest of the water and sunscreen to the in-laws and then to the MDE.

DEPRESSING, we met another family on the MDE and DD was ‘playing’ with their kids and they were chatting with us so it made the ride go pretty quick. We got to the airport got some Chick Fil A YUM, let DD walk/crawl around (still not a germaphobe).

Then we went through security and got TSA precheck again! Score! It was pretty uneventful . We waited till the end to board again, and had another good flight with DD. We landed and were home by 5:30ish I think, I picked up the furbaby and my depression that such an amazing and short trip over.

I also came home to a car covered in pollen GROSS!

I think I am going to do one more post on final take a ways and a link to my new PTR.

Departure days are such a bummer :(. I'm glad you had such a nice trip though! I love that you went to watch the welcome show at MK before you left, it's a happy way to begin departure day! I've enjoyed reading your TR and can't wait to jump on on your new PTR!!!:flower:

So sad when the trip is over. But you made the most of a short morning and some last minute Disney magic. It's a great way to see that show actually...because you weren't rushing to just get past it and get into the park...trying to put a positive spin on things for ya :)) Glad your flight etc. at least went smoothly. Looking forward to the new PTR and planning of the next trip is always fun!

Departure day is the WORST! I'm glad you did something in the morning to ease your way out of the Disney bubble, though. I do the same thing. ::yes::

I know departure day is always hard...but hey you had Chick-fil-a at the airport! LOL (I could eat chick-fil-a everyday.) Thanks for sharing your trip!

First off, so sorry I haven't replied to everyone for what feels like FOREVER! Second I hope you are all still here!:grouphug:

What a great idea! I bet it was awesome being able to walk to the MK like that. I mean, how often in your life do you get to think to yourself "I think I'll just walk on over to the Magic Kingdom before breakfast." :cloud9:

We got to the airport got some Chick Fil A YUM, let DD walk/crawl around (still not a germaphobe).

There's a Chick Fil-A in the airport??! Hmmm... very interesting... :scratchin

Now my last update I have started my Disneyland PTR! California of Bust!

Hope to see you all over there!

Woohoo! I'll be there! :yay:
