We will be going down for our first visit to HHI the end of September. I have heard a lot about the boat tours to see the dolphins. Anyone have a reccomendation/ I saw the follwing one on-line: http://www.hiltonheadtours.com/

Just looking for opinions of whether it is worth the trip to go out there and if so, which one have you guys had a good experience with... pirate:

We went with the tour that is offered through the resort and loved it. We saw lots of dolphins and had a very personable boat captain. Another boat went out at the same time (same company), and the captains kept in contact with each other and let each other know when they came across dolphins. This was a couple of years ago, hopefully things haven't changed!

much smaller boat - 6 people max I think. you get sooo much closer to the dolphins and can follow them as needed.

If you're in the mood it's fine to bring along a small cooler w/ alcohol :rolleyes1 or softdrinks.

well worth it - consider the twilight tour~

edit: I do have a photo show - midway down the page: be warned - it's musical so if you're at work turn down the speakers

feel free to peruse any show there;
