M&Ms PJ~April 10, 2008~YCG/Italy Plaza*Photographer Photos are up!*

Your dress is stunning!!! May I ask who the designer is?

Yay for another YCG bride!!

I think a cruise is a fabulous idea for a honeymoon!

i bought fondant cut outs at michaels, i got a round set and a square set, i haven't tested them yet though...so mine will be significantly smaller than hers. disneysweetie posted this site on my pj, http://www.papermart.com/templates/83-0-80.htm#GO_83082, it looks like they have several types of boxes to choose from...i just haven't measured the cookie to know how big it'll be...what type of icing are you going to use? i was thinking of using fondant, because it'll look smooth and neat, then i thought about using colored white chocolate, but i think that might be too rich...though, you could freeze the cookies with the chocolate on them and it would be fine...i ALSO might make some of them out of gingerbread...sorry for rambling!!! happy halloween pirate: princess: !!!

I was in Michaels the other day and considered buying the fondant circle cutouts as well. That would make them a lot smaller but I think that might be a good thing especially for packaging purposes. Thanks for the box site! Those might work.

I'm thinking of using color flow icing. I used it in my cake decorating classes and it's really shiny and thin but sets up hard-ish. The white chocolate sounds yummy though. I'd definitely consider that. I think I'm just going to start baking and making different types of icing and cookie flavors and then freeze them to test it all out. So many things to think about! I also wonder how long it will actually take to assemble the cakes and boxes. How many are you planning on having to do??

Yes, count me in as loving your dress and wondering who the designer is.

Thanks,
Linda

Thanks girls :) It's nice to hear that people like my dress b/c I've been having second thoughts. Yikes! Anyways it's a Casablanca dress. Style 1831 I think.

75. which means i might lose my mind, because each of those cookie stacks has 6 cookies in it...so that's 450 cookies that i have to bake...where do you get color flow icing?

I love it on you!! Don't second-guess it!

I'm at the same guest count so I feel your pain. It's a LOT of cookies but the outcome is SO adorable!!!

You can buy the color flow mixture at Michaels near all the Wilton cake stuff. You add water and sugar to it. Perhaps something else too. It's been a while since I made it. I'm hoping that it freezes well. It would be awesome if I could bake and ice the cookies beforehand then just assemble with some royal icing right before the wedding. Although one thing that is bothersome is where I'm going to find the freezer space to store all these cookies!

They do have a lot of really gorgeous dresses! It was hard to pick just one ;)

Thank your for the moral support :) I think I'll feel better about it once I get it fitted ...and perhaps lose a few pounds. Hahaha.

I did a search and found your gown. It is really beautiful. There is one shop near me that carries Casablanca gowns. There are many great gowns on their website. I might have to visit this dress shop and try some on.

Thanks,
Linda

You really should! I tried on multiple Casablanca gowns and they were all very nice. Good luck!

Hi Marcy, I rarely post on these boards, mostly just look at everyones plans and dream of my own Disney wedding one day, but your plans are so beautiful I had to ask you some questions. I love everything, from your sites to your flowers, and you look stunning in your dress!

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years and we are going to take our first trip together to Disney next summer:banana: . I'm hoping if he sees how beautiful Epcot is, particularly Italy and France, he might warm up to the idea of a Disney wedding (not that I have an adenda for the trip or anything :rolleyes1 ). But I'll have to convince him we can afford it.

First, you mentioned you have to wait until the park closes for a DJ and said he'd only be there until 11. Are you kicked out by 11, because we are big partyers and would want to dance until at least 1 am, do you know if this is allowed.

Do you pay for the site rentals for both the sites you are using for the prereception/dessert party and dinner/dance?

Do you have to use Disney photography as well because your in the park?

Regarding decor: do you have to pay for the tabel settings such as linens and napkins or is a basic linen package included in the site rental fee?

Thats all I can think of for now, congradulations and thanks for answering my questions!

Hi there! Thanks for reading my PJ :) I think I can answer most of your questions:
Usually receptions at Disney are 4 hours so I'll be in the courtyard from 7-11. You are able to extend your time though if you wanted to stay longer. Of course this would cost more, but it's possible. There might be some restrictions on time in the park, but I know for a fact that I could have had my reception until at least midnight if I wanted to. Some brides simply move the party over to ADH or PI after the reception for a cheaper way to dance/drink :)

Yes you pay to rent both spaces. For me it's listed as one line item called Italy Plaza but essentially I'm paying for both spaces.

Nope, you do not have to use Disney photography if you dont want. I think there was some mention of an escort fee for outside photographers, but since I'm not having one, I dont really know! Maybe another girl could help you out on that one.

There is a basic linen package for Epcot. You can have either black or white linens. They have a variety of napkin folds you can choose from. The linens can add up so just using what they have available could save a lot!

Disney weddings can be somewhat affordable if you really try and watch costs. I think the same could be send about any venue, Disney or not. Good luck in the future and I hope your bf will fall in love with Disney so you can get married there! Have a great trip :)

Thanks Marcy. I thought of one more thing, since the park is still open for a portion of your reception, does disney block off the plaza area where you'll be having dinner, or can people just freely walk past your party?

Both areas will be blocked off with a plant wall. It creates a pretty private atmosphere separate from the park guests. And of course there is a cast member at the entrance of each location to make sure only wedding guests are allowed in and out.

Dagnabbit - I am so jealous of how good you look in that dress! It was my favorite dress from any of the magazines and the first one I tried on. But it made me look short - and I'm just under six feet tall!

You made a great choice! :thumbsup2

Haha well I am short so no dress can help me out there ;) Thanks for the compliment!

i am so glad that you posted your prices for your centerpeices...mine sound very similar, except that instead of water, i'm having lemons in the vases, it will be interesting to see the price difference in my beo (if i ever get it).

You'll get it soon I'm sure :) I thought posting the prices might be good for people to see so that everyone could have an idea of what to expect when the BEO actually comes. The less budget surprises, the better ;)

Your wedding planning sounds like so much fun!!!! I too live in Orlando and guess what? We have the same wedding colors! I'm so happy to see your invitations and such because I was starting to get worried that the colors might be too loud. After seeing yours, I'm feeling much more confident.

Your dress looks gorgeous too. Congrats and good luck! Maybe I'll see you around Orlando :)

Thats awesome!! I'm glad to hear you have the same colors too! :) They are really bright but honestly I love that. It's so different. Plus you need less extra decor simply b/c the colors are so bold. I really think it's going to look nice all put together.

Thanks for reading! See you around ;)
