From there we headed up to Critter County ... I hadn't had a Tigger Tail yet!
I liked the Tigger Tail ... but I LOVED these -
Love that they were dipped in caramel before the chocolate & M&Ms.
I think we then went on Haunted Mansion and Pirates ... possibly twice before our lunch at Carnation Cafe. This was the longest we waited all week to be seated, at least 1/2 an hour.
We all had the Baked Potato Soup -
DH and DS both had the Café Steak Melt - Grilled beef slices, melted Pepper Jack cheese and caramelized onions on a Cheese Roll with choice of potato salad, Mixed greens salad or fresh fruit. $10.99
I had the Smoked Turkey Sandwich - Monterey Jack, Tomato, Lettuce, and Whole Grain Mustard Aioli on Pretzel Bread with choice of Potato Salad, Mixed Greens Salad or fresh Fruit.
Everything was very good.
After lunch, DH & DS headed off to Indy. I sat on Main Street for a bit
I know we re-rode some things before heading to California Adventure but my memory is fuzzy. We caught a little of the Mary Poppins/Bert show in front of the Castle (sorry no pics).
I know we went to the Drawn to the Magic Show ... this one was a little too corny even for me!
We spent more time in Animation. DS went on Grizzy a few more time. I feel bad but I just can't remember the details.
I know we picked up our WoC picnics in time to snack while watching the Pixar Play Parade go by -
These were Ok. Some things quite tasty, others 'eh. Not a meal though, but a nice snack. We ended up not using the WoC fastpasses. We must have spent the rest of the time in DL doing old favorites. I know DH & DS did Indy again, we did Pirates again. We decided that we were just going to grab pizza at Naples and take it back to the room so I could get packed up. Super Shuttle was picking us up at 5:15 for our flight so we definitely made it an earlier evening than we would have liked.
I thought the pizza was very good ... pricey but good. While I packed up DH & DS went back to Cali Adv so that DS's last ride could be Grizzly. He came back soaked!
Our last pic of the trip. probably should have been our first
All in all we LOVED our trip to DLR. Although for some reason, I didn't feel the crushing sadness that I usually feel when I leave Main Street in WDW for the last time. Even DS was surprised that I didn't cry when we were leaving and "saying good-bye" to the Castle. I was actually read to come home. I have never felt that way at WDW, even after 12 days. I am really not sure why the difference as I truly loved every minute of our trip. I guess I just felt that we did everything we wanted to do.
I do hope we get back some day. I think I will always be a WDW girl at heart but I definitely loved DLR as well!
