The full moon last night taken with my brand new 70-300mm lens! I've tried before but have only gotten blurry white blobs. This could be sharper, but for the first try with this lens, I'm happy with it.:goodvibes

nice river shot!
more water, from sebastian inlet again, last yr taken converted yesterday. not a fisherman so it amazed me these guys were out fishing pretty much constantly, morning and evening. what kind of person is that fanatical about a hobby?...oh wait since i was there as much taking photos at the same times, never mind:)

the exif looks odd i know on these last two night shots but i start getting noise at 400 and it's really bad at 800 so i think the slow shutter is worth the lack of noise. i know i played around with it some to see how i could get it less noisy since that bugs me. you can't tell at this size but i can read the numbers on the blue size in a larger shot so it's still fairly sharp.

Nice shot deletedpenguin, how far away are you from the devastating fires you guys are having?

Thank you. The really horrific fires are down around Melbourne, which is a ways away. We've had our own fires around Sydney, with a few smokey nights, but nothing nearly like what's happening down South. So tragic.

And an antique carousel giraffe. He is about 3 1/2' tall ..the size a small child would ride on a carousel and so darn cute.

i call it Room with A View since the position of the couch in the window made me think how even in a bad situation you can still see beyond the present and hope or dream of a better future
iso 100 70mm f4.0 1/125, xt and 70-200 f4 lens, heavily cropped due to no trespassing signs;)

Here's another older shot. March '07. The USS JFK's last voyage out of Boston before being decomissioned.
