POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

Been home since Saturday and still soooooooooooo tired. 10 days of walking, eating, boating, eating, playing, eating took it's toll. Oh, and did I mention eating. Which is why I missed the Glo Party! I had been looking forward to it so much. My suitcase was packed with Glow goodies! We stayed to see Wishes after SpectroMagic, and after getting off the bus at POP swung past the pool to see where you all were. I had been feeling a little queasy, but by the time we got to the room to pickup the Glo stuff I was sick. Up until that night, my DH and I had been sharing appetizers and desserts. But that night, I had my own, Lobster Bisque, Filet Mignon and Triple Chocolate Cake! Way too much food for me! I was so mad at myself, because it was my own fault. So disappointed to have missed the event!!!! Hope you all had a great time.

I am so sorry that you got ill. I hope it didn't put a damper on the rest of your trip ? I learned last year that I had to pass up alot of the food because I kept feeling so horrible. This year I limited myself to only two bites of dessert Hey a girl has to start somewhere

Hi Girls!!!! We'll we had a great time, looks like you did too! Matt got sick as well while we were there. Fantasmic night, as well! How strange! We made to late show though, sorry I missed you guys! Levi and Isabelle both had teething issues and got pretty cranky a few times. All in all we had a great time, but we probably won't be heading back until Levi is 3 or 4. TTFN!

OK - just got back. I'm exhausted but had the most FABULOUS time!!!

First - I'm soo sorry about Fantasmic...we had a bit of a bad experience getting seated at Mama Melrose...plus, my friend Shirley eats sooooo slow. We managed to make the first show, but just barely. Had to squeeze in the very last row of the center section.

Had some fabulous dining experiences on this trip - did Jiko's, Narcoossees and 1900 Park Faire for the first time. Return favorites included Artist Point, Chef Mickeys and LeCellier.

I got to meet MousieMom and her family at the AP Jungle Book Release Party and had the chance to ride a Segway for a few minutes in Innoventions. Since I spent a ton of time in the parks, I won Dream MouseEars, and two Dream FastPasses.

Epcot's Rededication was incredibly moving. Heck, the whole day was all but indescribable. Illuminations 25 ended just before 9:30, but I was part of the Celebration 25 group viewing from Italy's Isola and we decided we were not leaving until after the burnoff. That usually takes place around 10:30. But since they had extra barges on the water for the special show, it took until almost midnight to clear and set off the burnoff. Since it was after midnight, the gates to the park had been padlocked and we had to have a security escort out of the park. Disney took great care of us though, they called a special bus to deliver each of us back to our respective resorts.

I was lucky enough to meet Marty Sklar (VP WDW), Jim McPhee (VP Epcot), Dave Smith (Disney Archivist), Lou Mongello (WDW Trivia), Deb Wills (allearsnet), Debra Koma Martin (allearsnet), Linda Mac (allearsnet), Jim Hill (Jim Hill Media), Jeff Lange (Disney Historian), Nathan Rose (MagicalMountain), Tim Devine (The Magic in Pixals), Rob Schneider (original DreamFinder). The are all absolutely amazing!!

I'm booked on the bounceback offer from 9/22 to 10/5. Already planning.

Ohh Gail, I am soooooo sorry about Fantasmic I came down with a horrible cold and spent the day in bed. I missed MGM all together. I had no way to get ahold of you guys I figured that I would be the only one missing. Mark and the kids wandered over late in the evening to see the 2 show.... I was so bummed. I think going from raging hot to air conditioning over and over was the culptit

My wife got sick also, but it was not until Thursday and we left Saturday, but she is still feeling the effects of it! they really need to offer free dining when it isnt so hot out.......ya right

You all were so wonderful! Thanks for everything at the Glow party when we didn't yet have our luggage! That blow-up monkey is my kids' favorite toy and we loved all the glow necklaces and bracelets! Thanks!!!!

Did y'all see my window(s)? First floor in 60's by the kiddie pool? It had Miss Piggy and diet Pepsi I saw lots of windows decorated!!!!

Howdy Utah Mama!!

I remember you!! Wish I could have seen your window. Mine had all sorts of really hard core DIS stuff in it including a can of corn.

It was so nice running into you. You were the only one of the people I talk to on the boards a lot that I accidentally ran into.

Funny that you did remember to call me Goofy. I will admit to being more than 'slightly' so.

There must have been something going around as both Tom and I came down with sniffles etc when we first got there. I noticed others with similar problems. Maybe allergies?? I think I used every single medication I brought with me at one time or another. It is the worry of my life that I get down there and get sick as Tom cannot take care of himself let alone me. My bil promised to come after us if necessary. He is a good bil.

Tom did pretty well, with one or two minor meltdowns. He got me a refill of my tea at one of the POP parties. This from a man who refused to get me a drink of water after a major surgery on the grounds that he does not do housework. He was also wonderful to guard my cane while I stood in line to get his food too.

I had carefully prepped him by telling him that the Dream Team was looking for cheerful faces AND that if he was rude to my on line buddies there would not be a December trip. Threats, the secret to my happy marriage.

It is frustrating that we are often right near each other and miss actually meeting. I had a man and wife pass me in the food court and the man looked long and hard at my lanyard. I later found out that they were DISER friends of mine but we never met in person.

I did not think I looked all that scary.

I did have folks leave notes on my door and even call and I did meet them. I still feel badly about Julianna and hubby whom I met in the arcade. I should have asked if we could sit and visit in the food court where I could sit down as I did not visit long cause I was scared I was gonna fall over!! Hope you guys had a great trip home after your fantastic vacation!!

Just got back yesterday morning, and I swear I have slept at least 20 of those hours. I was exhausted. Left Disney Saturday morning early with just a sore throat but the time we got back to Arkansas I had a full cold. I feel horrible. At least I didn't have to fight it there.

Kelli we enjoyed the party sorry we didn't stay longer. Enjoyed meeting you all.

Kelli I loved your door, I guess I didn't realize when you were leaving and my heart was broken when we walked past and no decorations. I told Jenny that Kelli must have left.

Lots of decorated windows. Loved seeing them all.

The heat, rain and all that blasted food and its confining details kept me from doing the bounceback. The only thing that makes me regret the decision is missing the Glow and other parties. So many delightful folks.

In spite of my not booking the bounceback I do know how many days of the next Free Dining I could get out of my present AP so one never knows. At my age senility is a close friend and I just might forget the bad weather.

Hey all! How's the post trip recovery going?

Can't stop coughing.

Can't get a single thing accomplished around here, and keep having to cancel appointments. Blah.

And I don't even have another WDW trip to plan. Bwah......

I need lots of sympathy.

It was nice meeting all of you. My sinuses were terrible for about 3 days there. On the first day it started acted up, we went to Whispering Canyon for dinner and I didn't get to really enjoy myself. I really wanted to ask for ketchup, but could barely keep my head up long enough to eat. Whatever I had I could hardly taste, so I'll have to go back there on my next trip.

We didn't sign up for the bounce back for next year. We went down to the desk after we checked out and was told we had to do it before we checked out. The paper with the number on it got shoved in one of our bags that I have yet to find. Oh well, I probably wouldn't be able to go anyway as my friend's daughter is graduating HS next year and she's trying to get a bunch of us together for a cruise to celebrate.

MrsPiglet, I remember meeting you and your daughter. You both came right before I left. I also met SlightyGoofy, Keliblue, UtahMama, DisneyMom5, Heathandjavensmom and a few others whose name I don't remember. It was a great turn out, more people than I expected. I had my window decorated as well and as soon as I can get these pics downloaded, I'll post it. There wasn't too many disers where I was because I only had 2 people leave a LGMH on my door, but they didn't leave a name. BTW, I was in the 80's bldg by Roger Rabbit.

It was wonderful meeting you and your daughter too Every morning I would walk pass your window to see who else sighed your door.. thanks so much for lovely note, it made my day I was bummed when I took down my decorations too .. but I have them put away for our next trip.
