Post Your Rescheduled/Relocated Resort Date Here

Booked reservation myself for 2 adults, 3 kids, 1 infant.

I spent a great deal of time contacting Disney over several days, when I finally got a CM yesterday I was told there is an issue with my resort and I will need to have a supervisor call me. I waited 28 hours no call and called them today and I finally got the following set:

Originally:
June 23-24
Caribbean Beach Resort
5th Sleeper Waterview Room

Now:
June 23-24
Saratoga Springs
2 Bedroom Villa
No Price Change from original booking

I find this interesting, surely there will be more than FW or OKW (Or any DVC Resort) open in November? Or are the only offering DVC resorts because your original June booking is affected?
At this time only FW and the DVC resorts are opening, so she could not offer me anything else. Said these were the only ones they were able to book at this time.

Has anyone who isn’t at an All-Star been automatically offered a FW cabin?
I was at POP originally and the CM offered FW cabin and Old Key West Studio since they are the two that are closest in price to my original price at POP since I was moving my dates to November and not just keeping the same dates.

My dates were: 7/4-7/5
I am keeping my dates or rescheduling to DD/MM/YYYY: keeping dates
My original resort was: Riviera
I originally booked using XXXX discount: Passholder
I am being moved to: they won't move resort and will not change room type
My cost increase/decrease is: N/A
I made my original reservation myself/a travel website/thru a Disney TA/other: myself
I was contacted about my resort’s closure by email/telephone/I wasn’t contacted: I called after email
There are # adults, # children, # under age 3 in my party : 2 adults

So people already staying in a DVC resort for this initial period don't have options to change room types or resorts. Thought that was interesting.

My dates were June 24- July 1.
I am keeping my dates.
My original resort was CBR 5th sleeper.
I originally booked using AP room only discount.
I got an email from Disney asking me to confirm, modify or cancel. I confirmed and was told Disney would call me “soon” to discuss options. I waited 40 hours with no call, then called Disney this morning.
I am being moved to: I was offered SSR 1BR which doesn’t sleep 5, and we are a party of 5 with kids ages 17, 15, & 12. Awaiting an upper level guest service cm to call me with a solution.
My cost increase/decrease is: none
Actually the renovated SSR 1 bedrooms sleep five. There is both a queen size & twin sleep murphy bed in the living room.

Interesting. And my understanding is that a lot of the renovated rooms are in the Congress Park area right next to Disney Spring. If that is the case, getting assigned a one-bedroom as a family of 5 might actually be a bonus because they'd have to put you in a renovated room with good location, whereas a two-bedroom might be anywhere in the resort (and not renovated).

Original Reservation
July 1-8
Caribbean Beach Resort
King room
Room only/APH rate

New Reservation
July 3-8
Old Key West
1 BR
Balance was adjusted down to reflect 5 vs 7 night stay
Oh they let you change dates. I am wanting to remove a day also.

Yep, I just asked. She put me on hold for a few minutes and came back with a yes. I said that we could take the days off at either end but was able to choose which dates to drop. This is for before the parks open, though. I don’t know if that makes a difference. We’re just going to lie by the pool and eat at DS. We might go to the beach or St Augustine one day.

I was only going to keep it if we were assigned something good. I didn’t want BCV with no pool or a Tower Studio at Riviera.

Yup. Wouldn't hurt if they managed to squeeze you into a renovated two bedroom though 😉

Here's a tour of the renovated rooms if you haven't seen them. Really nice!

We asked if we could request Congress Park in an effort to get a updated villa, but the CM told us that those are preferred rooms in that section and we couldn’t specify a preferred room since we were coming from a moderate resort...they did say we could pay rack rate for it, um no thank you 😆

That is what I was going to ask lol. How much was rack rate?

You should still be able to put in Congress Park as a room request in MDE. No guarantees obviously.

For Saratoga, there are pros and cons to any of the buildings. It is different for the "pre park opening" period because bus pick up and drop off locations (order and how many there are) don't really matter. Some are a closer walk to restaurants at the resort or to Disney Springs. There are a couple of pools. If you look at the Saratoga main thread, you will see people passionate about any of the buildings. There are threads you can search for that have room request recommendations -- just remember that some won't matter before park opens.

I did read that Bell Services won't escort guests, only bags, during the initial reopening. Yikes, Saratoga is a big resort to walk on foot to find your building until you get acclimated.

And there is a golf course!
