Cheshire Figment. We are here at WDW now and experienced a problem: can you shed some light on this. I entered MK on a 6-day (basic) ticket that was purchased from Undercover Tourist in order to activate it.
I then went to Guest Relations inside MK to upgrade to the DVC PAP and was charged $182. ( I had not prefigured what the cost should be as I should have). A couple of hours later I reviewed it and returned as they had not bridged the cost of the 6-day ticket. I had noticed that the turnstiles had a read error and was unsure if it had activated my ticket. The CM told me that it had activated my ticket but that he could not bridge the 6-day to the current gate price because it was purchased in 2010 and that he had to use had I had actually paid to UCT, $216. He also earlier had tried to tell me that I had bought that ticket directly from Disney. I had to convince him that I only buy DVC annual passes directly-- all others from UCT.
I asked me to speak to a manager but he went in the back and came back out, saying he had checked with him and the policy said only tickets bought in the current year from discount ticket firms could be bridged to the gate price. I was persistent in my opinion and he disappeared in the back again. After awhile he can back, again stated the policy for the current year. But that he would do a one-time exception and credit me with the gate price.
We also noticed during this time that he had issued me my new PAP with an expiration of 8/11/11 instead of 11/26/13.
My big concern is that I have at least 6+ inactivated tickets from UCT.
Cheshire, can you verify what they said. Does it matter what year these tickets were purchased when it comes to bridging. I appreciate your input.
