Question for any of you who have done the London/Paris and then went to DLP. How did you get there? We are not doing an add on because we need to get there a day early and just trying to figure out the easiest way to get to DLP - with our luggage. Does anyone out there have any experience??

Thanks:)

I haven't done and don't plan to do an Adventures by Disney, but can help with DLRP.

From CDG airport -

  • navette (shuttle bus) takes about 45 minutes
  • TGV (high speed train) takes 10 min from Terminal 2
  • private shuttle runs about 90 euro per person

From Paris -
  • RER line orange will take you straight to DLRP (last stop) Stops in Paris are La Defense, CDG Etoile (Arc de Triomphe/Champs Elysees area) and Auber (Opera/department store area)

If you mention when you need to get from, we can help. Also you may want to visit the DLRP board on this website for more information

Thanks so much bavaria!! We will leave the evening of 6/14 from the Hilton Arc de Triomphe where we will have been staying for the ABD trip. The address is 51-57 Rue de Courcelles?? Maybe it is close to the CDG Etoile station? I will look into it. I am train "stupid". Unfortunately we don't have much in the way of rail systems in Texas. I will check in on the DLP thread as well. Thanks again:)

very easy, Lisa. You would walk or take a taxi to CDG-Etoile (note that is not the airport but rather the station at Arc de Triomphe)

Purchase a five zone ticket from the machine or the ticket seller, and take the RER red/orange coloured line direction Marne-la-Vallee/Chessy. The train will stop at the end of the line - DLRP. Trip is about 45 minutes.

When you exit the train station at DLRP you will be across from the Disneyland Hotel. If you turn left you will see shuttle busses for the other Disney hotels and offsite hotels. Or you can walk to your Disney hotel through Disney Village.

To view your journey, go to www.ratp.fr (you can turn the site into English if you don't read French). It is a very good website to plan your train/metro journey as you enter the start and end point.

If you are planning on DLP after your ABD tour, the guides will arrange transport for you to DLP - at least they did last year. It was excellent! The shuttle bus from DLP to the airport is very convenient, we were discouraged from using the train by the hotel as apparently the TGV isn't too thrilled with people taking just that short segment of the journey so we opted for the bus and it was perfect!
If you plan on going directly from the ABD tour hotel to the airport, they also arrange for that transportation and give you the times to be in the lobby, etc. They really go out of their way to address each travelers need. Don't worry, you will get to where you need to be with no problem - just ask your guidel

not sure what that is all about; you book a ticket on the TGV that means that is bookable and available. People use the TGV all the time to get from CDG to DLRP.

The navette (shuttle bus) is a good option to the airport; just be aware that it doesn't run all times (see the www.disneylandparis.com site for general information)

If you have an early flight out of CDG you may have to take a private shuttle - RS Transport is one recommended on these boards, but there is a whole list on the DLRP part of this website.

come visit us on the Disneyland Paris boards if you have a chance, Lisa - we'll get you in the mood for your trip! :cutie:
