Anyhow, I was in our community college's marching band while I was taking classes at the university. With the band, I played at Anaheim, EuroDisney, and Tokyo Disney. I live relatively close to Anaheim and my dd and I drag my husband there about every other weekend for a few hours. When we went to DLR last time, my daughter created her own character. Hello! My real name is Chris and I'm 30-something. I have been married to my wonderful DH, Todd, for almost 19 years. (Spending the 20th in Disney next year!) We have no kids but 5 cats--3 adults, and 2 kittens that we just rescued. I live in North Tonawanda, NY, which is about halfway between Niagara Falls and Buffalo. My DH & I both became WDW addicts after our first trip there in September 2001. Now just about any time the subject of WDW comes up, one of us will ask-"Are we there yet?", which is why it's in my sig on VMK. My favorite Disney character is T-I-double G-ER!

My real name is Kelly (or Tish, depending on who you ask ). I'm 27 (28 in Nov.) and I currently live South of Atlanta. Originally from New Jersey (South Jersey, by the shore) and came here by way of Seattle. It's been a long strange trip I've been married to DH for *counts back on fingers* almost 8 years, and we have DS6 who just started first grade. I work full-time at a medical billing company, but I am also going to school full-time to get a paralegal degree. Add to that soccer mom and PTO member, and somehow it seems there is not enough hours in the day!

I heart VMK and the wonderful friends I have met there. It's like logging on to a party with your friends....and we Dis people have some WILD parties

Hi everybody! My name is Sandy and my age is old, very old. I have been a computer systems consultant in the DC area, programmer for a while and computer department manager. The world changed a few years back for all of us which made DH & myself make some important changes to our lives. So for the last few years I've been a SAH"G"M for my 3 little DGK's. My focus switch from business career to my other love, teaching children the competitive sport of baton twirling on a national level. Very similar to gymnastics competition, my students can compete on a local, state, regional, national and world level. A student who was very little at the time called me TwirlerGirl when she couldn't remember my name. I've used it ever since. I love coaching and taking care of my grandbabies. I do miss the business world on occasion but know I'll never go back.

VMK has added to my Disney addiction. We purchased a Disney Vacation Club timeshare and visit often. DH understands my passion for VMK as I understand his for motorcycles and auto racing. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Hi everyone, my real name is Joe (thedisneyman on VMK and here) I live in Connecticut with my 2 rescued greyhounds and 2 cats. I'm an IT Manager (currently unemployed )

I am a Disney Vacation Club member and own at Boardwalk and Beach Club. I visit Walt Disney World every year and Disneyland every couple of years. My last trip to WDW was in May of 2004 and my last trip to Disneyland was June of 2005. Unfortunately when I was in Disneyland they had just started the VMK stuff and I didn't get any quests or even ears. Walt Disney is my idol and my goal is to work for The Walt Disney Company in some way. Since I live in CT my closest tie to The Walt Disney Company would be ESPN (which is actually in the town I grew up in).

I'm less than an hour from Disneyland. My DH does not share my Dizneyness addiction, although it was his idea to buy DVC.

As to age, well ... lets just say that on the "how old are you poll", I was on the other side of the bell curve. DH and I have been married 27 years, so that's a clue for you.

In the past I have taught music and run a print shop. (Back in the days before everyone had a printer on their desk!) Now, I am a massage therapist. When I'm not working at a nearby resort, i have private clients. Besides working on people, I also massage horses.

I own a horse (3 yr. old gelding Cazalet, whom I bred) and a dog, a queensland heeler, austrailan shepard mix named Nika. Those are my two names on VMK: Cazalet, and DLNika (DL for Disneyland, she was born in the park.)

I have competitively shown horses and I'm hoping Cazalet will be a jumper in a few years. I may actually try to sell him and take up flying. I really want to fly helicopters! Can't do both. There is not enough time (or money). My husband says I am the only person he knows that can go from one expensive sport (riding and showing horses) to an even more expensive sport, flying. lol that's me!

And yeah, I thought surferrat was a 14 yr. old too. But now I'm envious, as I want to get scuba certified someday.

I go by diskrista on VMK, and I live in Texas in real life. I have been on the DIS for a few years and have met some of my best friends here (all of whom I have met in person, as well). I love to hang out with DIS people in early December at WDW every year, and I have planned (along with WebmasterKathy) maybe 8 DIS meets here in the DFW area over the last couple of years. I am definitely into having my internet relationships and my real life relationships cross over into one another. It is all my life, and I see little purpose in keeping them separate. But for those of you who do, you must do what works for you. Meets are fun, though . Here is a picture from when Jellyrolls (TLinden16) came to DFW this year just to hang out with us :

As for why I am on VMK. . . I had some good friends who were into VMK, but it took me a while to figure out the appeal of it since I have no interest in video games that are any more complicated than Ms. PacMan. I even posted a thread about VMK on the Community Board in which I asked what the appeal was . I got some responses over there from people who were also a quite baffled at the popularity, but I also got some positive responses, esp. from JeanJoe. So I decided not to give up on VMK without one last shot. I have since learned to thoroughly enjoy the people interaction, but without that I would have been long gone by now. There are still plenty of things that I have not explored. For instance, I was surprised to follow some people to the monorail just the other night. They are somewhat fun, but the games and "stuff" are WAY down on the list for me.

As for my life in TX. . . I am a former school nurse who got burned out on dealing with little kids, and now at age 34, I am trying to decide what is next for me in this life. It probably involves either getting back into nursing or going back to school to get an architecture or interior design degree, which has been my passion since I was a kid. I guess that is why arranging my rooms and furniture would be my second favorite thing about VMK. As for what I do with my "real" time, I work on our 70-something year old house, occasionally substitute for school nurses, spend time doing stuff related to my church, and spend lots of time hanging out with my local friends and family.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary last week. In case anyone wants to see me all grown up (that is me in the 1970's over there under "KristaTX" as my own avatar - I still feel like that same kid ), here we are in April:

aw: hi! i am VegasMonarch here and in VMK. IRL i am Julie. currently i am a student (to become a licensed veterinary technician), and i work for a veterinary sonographer. i have two rescue cats. Max ( my hit by car rescue) and Katie (just a cute kitten that needed a home). eventually i will have a dog ( i really want a white lab), but i think the cats cause enough trouble to keep me busy for now. and Pilikia is my sister, if anyone here did not know. she is the one who got me started here on the DIS and addicted to VMK.

My name is Diane and my hu band is Dennis. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 14 years and am just starting to go back to work. I used to work a professional job in Manhattan but me-thinks with four children that I want to stay much closer to home so am working in the local schools.

My hu band is a Detective with the NYPD - two more years and he can retire thank goodness.

Our four children are:
DJ - 14 (just starting with the girls - arg!)
Brian - 13 (Chiabob to all of you) and he loves the Dis now and all my grown-up friends lol...
Jennifer - 10 (Softballgirl)
Jessica - 10 (Mulligirl)

as an aside, I just want to say that my girls were premature twins and it makes me feel special to "know" you Bezoar (or should I say CL_Bezoar!). Thanks to those doctors in neonatel (and the ones up on the OB/GYN floor that kept me there in bed for seven weeks) my daughters are healthy and perfect.

Thank you to all of you that are friends with my children on VMK..they are amazed that adults are actually playing this game!! I really do appreciate your patience with them.

We have one dog, a beagle(Mulligan which is where Jessica got her name - she adores him) and two cats (one of which is very, very old arg).

We live in Long Island, New York although my husband and I are really from the city (Queens) and thanks to VMK four of us really, really cant wait to go back to WDW. Hu band likes it but does not love it like me! and the fourteen year old - well I am sure some of you know what they can be like..I dont think it is "cool" for him anymore.

Hi Everyone!

I really am enjoying this thread! My name is Nicole and live on the Jersey Shore. Everyone calls me "Nikki" or "Nic" for short and I am madly in love with my boyfriend, Sean, of three years. We recently spent our anniversary in Hershey, Pensylvannia and are looking forward to another WDW trip in the near future.

I currently teach fifth grade Reading and Language Arts in an excellent school district. I also am on the Teacher of the Year committee, Curriculum Development committee, Professional Development committee, and advise Homework Club and Writing Club.

I just started working towards a masters degree. I am enrolled in a local university's Masters of Science in Education program which will give me a reading specialist degree. I am very excited! I do not think I can pull myself away from teaching for quite some time, but feel lucky to be able to get this extra knowledge to help my students.

I adore children and cannot wait to have my own. I need a ring first though. Many people expect that to happen soon. I hope so; it will be like living a dream! Sean and I plan to have a large family which may cause me to use my reading specialist degree down the road so I can spend more time with my children.

I am becoming addicted to spas after visiting the Grand Floridian Spa this past March. We also went to the Hershey Spa over the weekend. I adore Jurlique products and have been hooked since the Grand Flo visit.

I just became a Community Leader on VMK. See you there!

I just posted on the picture thread and remembered I hadn't introduced myself here.

I'm Monica and add me to the list of 30 something VMK addicts. I am a single mother to a wonderful 9 (soon to be 10) year old boy. He loves space and Disney and can't decide if he wants to be an astronaut or a DL tour guide when he grows up. LOL. He is BlueSpaceboy on VMK.

I took my DS to DL on his 1st b'day and was told he was too young. That may have been true, but it was a great trip. We have been back several times each year for the past 9 years now. We have DL annual passes. We have also made the trek to WDW 2 times now, and love it.

We are on the left coast, very near San Francisco. I work for a major telecommunications company and don't really enjoy my job but it does pay me well enough to support my travel and Disney addictions. And everyone in my office can tell when I am going into DL withdrawl, they all start telling me to head south.

In addition to loving to travel, I recently discovered that I love to ride motorcycles. I knew I like riding as a passenger, but I took a course and now have a motorcycle license. I bought myself a brand new Harley Davidson which competes with VMK for my time.
