I jut got back from Walmart and got 2 more pair of blinkies.
At $3 each it was hard to pass up.
I also got some make-up.
I hardly ever wear it, but I thought I'd try something new.

Doing my best to bump up the post count.
Went to the movies today,
Saw Must Love Dogs.
Cute movie and a chick flick although my DH really liked it.
i onder what movies will be on the ship?

Hi all - we're home from Milwaukee. Lots of posts to catch up one. Need to read our other cruise thread as well now and then I'll be caught up.

Hopefully I'll be in chat tonight. Lot of fresh air and sunshine and I might fall asleep early. :)

Getting close to a milestone!

Boy, you guys have been busy. We'll be at 8000 in no time. We were quite busy today. Went to church, bought a birthday present, had lunch, drove around town while the girls napped in the car, went to a birthday party. Now, I'm exhausted. Chris is outside trimming the backyard bushes and I'm inside with the girls. They are playing on Emily's computer together (but I'm sure it won't last long).

I'm hoping to make it to DVC chat tonight. I guess it depends on if I crash before then.

Did big shopping today,
See previous post.
If anyone needs jeans KMART the ones that are closing has mens jeans for $6.
They have a bumch of them.
I was able to buy DS #2 2 pair of black pants for dinner on the ship for $4,50 each.
He wanted to wear thm to work as he needs black pants for work, but I a meanie and told him to wait.

Jenny, we just went through this last week. I was planning on bringing our originals (for me & Gary) with the footprints until I asked here about carrying them without creasing. I found out there could have been a problem with them being accepted.

Gary went to the court house in Rolling Meadows (as we were all born in IL). There was a green form that he needed to fill out -- date of birth, mothers maiden name, fathers name, city of birth, legal name. Being we are older, he needed to wait for ours to be printed but the ones he got for the kids were issued right away.

Cost was $10 a piece -- cash only.

I'm glad that you can get a birth certificate the same day you request it! I was worried that it would take longer. Hopefully it is still in our safety deposit box and just was seperated from the rest of them. I'm going immediately after work tomorrow to check. If it is not there then I will have to look into getting another copy.

I was just watching Unwrapped on the Food network and it appears that the Key West segment on Key Lime pie in on this show tonight!

Thanks Mary!

I'm going to check it out.

I see it isn't the one on Blond Giraffe but a shop called Kermit's Key Lime shop that sells many many things with Key Lime...from candles to cookies to candy.

Hey, I've been gone most of the day and it took me forever to catch up. My sister is here for the week and the first thing I showed her were my blinkies and guess where I have to take her tomorrow?? :rotfl:

Diana - another blinkie fan huh? That reminds me - when we were watching Off Kilter the other night a woman walked up wearing blinkies. Only her right one blinked :)

Gary & the kids went to work on the 1800's farm today. They try to keep it as close to that time period as possible. They left here about 6:10 this morning and didn't return until almost 10. The house was so quiet, I got to sleep in until the dog started wrestling to go out. Sometimes, I just can't win. :(

They had fun over there doing farm chores. Cameron & Gary got to clean out the animals stalls (for this we pay? ). Walker got to help feed the cows and horses. They all worked on making an old fashion breakfast. Walker helped in the kitchen chopping up onions & picking things from the garden. They look forward to it every year and always enjoy it a lot. Not really my cup of tea, but I might join them one of these years.

Cub Scouts had their back to year picnic today. A beautiful day here -- no humidity and even a little bit of a nip in the air when we sat in the shade. The kids did the obsticles course and we all attempted to play baseball. It was a fun couple of hours.

While we were out, Gary was hard at work finishing up those magnets. When we came home he was hard at work cutting them out with my creative memories cutting tools. I'm sure he has some grand plan for our door. Who can believe two weeks from now we'll be sailing.

With all the rain we had the last couple of days and no humidity, it was perfect weather for some gardening. Two bags of weeds later, we're tired out. Gary just finished up dinner and I need to hit the shower. Cameron's in bed at 9 tonight (whether he likes it or NOT) with school starting in 2 more days. Something tells me it might be an early evening in our house. Sounds like it's ify about chat tonight for a lot of us. I'm planning on stopping in. :flower:

I know I do! :cool1: That is me stomping to get my blinkies to work.

Does anyone have a good version of the cruise logo? Not "our" logo but the Happiest Celebration at Sea artwork? I was thinking of attempting to add it to the front of our awesome group shirts ... has anyone added anything to the front of their shirts? We're wearing these shirts to the sailaway party right?

I'm afraid to even try mine out for fear of one or the other not working any more.

After a couple konk koolers, it won't matter anyway! :rotfl: :rotfl:
