September 22, 2012 Fantasy Eastern "From Fantasyland to the Fantasy"

Woo hoo! That would be wonderful if you and Janet could hop onboard with us!! How are things going with your grandson?
He is still living with us but everything is going well. It just cost money to have him with us. That is why we are not sure we can pull this off. Still I would love to cruise with the gang again. The other issue is my Son who is getting married this April is planning to go to an Island in the Carribean for a wedding one year after getting married here. I cannot do both. I WANT to do DISNEY. Still need to work that one out.

My husband Alan (44) and I (Alisia , 46) have booked this cruise without our kid!!!!!!:cool1: I can't wait to see the new ship and all it has to offer:lovestruc This will be our third DCL cruise. We can't wait to meet everyone. My husband and I are from California and we love everything Disney. I probably have been to Disneyland over 60 times!

Cabin : 12002
Dining : Second seating

Happy to see that you have joined the group. This would be a time for Janet and I to celebrate 25 years together. It would also be ou 10th cruise!! Just need to figure how to save the money and not upset my son. (see above comment) Lois

Hello:

My name is Paul and I live in Chardon, Ohio (the snow capital of Ohio). This will be my 8th Disney Cruise. My first cruise was in 2003 (hence the name "Paul2003") on the Disney Wonder with my sister Jeannine. The rest where on the Magic along with my parents. My mother has a muscle disease and is in a wheelchair. DCL treats her like a princess. This is why we continue to sail with Disney. They are second to none:worship:

Last year I put together a "Stateroom Tour". Mouseeears1 and Grandma4ever where on this cruise with me and did this tour. I plan on doing this again. When it gets a little closer to our sail date I will "Post" a letter all about this tour.

Hello Paul,
Welcome to the thread! :) I'll add you to the roll call. So who's joining you on this cruise?

Stateroom tour sounds like an excellent idea! :goodvibes Hopefully we'll get a nice variety of rooms to check out. From what I've seen in some of the photos of the dream there seems to be some very different set-up rooms. Should be neat. :cool2:

Hi Alisia,
I'll add you and Alan to the roll call. :cool2:

We've been to Disney World more times than I can count, but we still haven't been to Disneyland. Hopefully we will within the next few years. :goodvibes

Welcome Alisia and Alan! :goodvibes So glad to have you onboard with us! We are hoping to head out to Cali for a trip to Disneyland in 2013! I have never been but I love all things Disney history so I am really looking forward to "walking in Walt's footsteps" so to speak!:thumbsup2

Yep I totally understand. I do hope it all works out, but I know how it goes. It is wonderful how are you are giving you grandson the love and support he needs!! Sounds like you son has a neat plan for his marriage celebration...but like I said I know how it is, you can't do it all. But...hopefully somehow everything will work out just right and you and Janet can join us! :)

Hi there Paul, welcome aboard!:goodvibes Am I correct that we have met here before on the Double Dip Delight? The stateroom tour sounds like a lot of fun! Looking forward to hearing more about that! :)

Coming up here soon when I have some free time I will spiff up the post 1 (which is actually Ron's post but I will help him keep it updated) It will be a quick reference and include lots of info and links to things we might find of interest including ship information and construction updates, links, ports, itineraries and more! If there is anything you would like included in Post 1 feel free to let myself or Ron know, we would like it to be most useful for everyone visiting this thread!

:) Jen

Thank-you. It will be me, my sister Jeannine and my parents Ken and Carolyn. I don't know for sure if my mother will go. It will all depends on how she is doing with her muscle disease before we sail.

It looks like you sailed with me last year. I was on the Halloween cruise the last week in Oct. on the Magic (eastern). The boards name "nenner1" does look a little familiar.:thumbsup2

Thank you for the warm welcome. Alan, my husband, is also a big history fan of Disneyland and Walt Disney as well. We have been to WDW once for a week before one of our DCL cruises and we had a wonderful time. My son, RJ is in college so he won't be able to join us on this trip for he doesn't want to miss school.

It is going to be fun getting to chat with all of you for the next year and a half. I am looking forward to meeting new friends and seeing ones that we have sailed with before.:cutie:

Well we are booked at least for now. We are in room 2542 and currently have main dinning. We may opt to move this to late dinning but will wait till we are closer before deciding that. So I guess it is time to add us to the roster. Lois

Gotta run to get to work but thought I would start my day by giving the thread just a little bumb to keep it on page ONE!!! Lois

That is so sweet. We are looking forward to reconnecting as well.

Thanks, Ron. It is great to have something to work towards planning again.

So I have a question. Where are your (this is to everyone) plans to be the Friday night before this cruise. I thought maybe I could comply a list to assist with per cruise meets. Janet and I will either stay at the port Country Inn and Suites (if we drive) or at the Hyatt at the airport (if we fly) Anyone else have an idea where they will be?

We had a blast when we met with several other DISers for dinner the night before. Let me know if you think this would be a good list to try to keep at some point I am aware that it is just a little early for most.

Lois

We enjoyed the Country Inn and Suites at the port last October. We will most likely stay there again. Parking there for the week and their shuttle worked out great. I'm hoping we can get a good deal again. :cool2:

Prior to that we have discussed possibly doing Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party again, most likely on Thursday night.

I'm hoping we can get a group from this thread together to have dinner or lunch at a place like Fishlips on Friday. :)

Cool then I will begin a list. This cruise should be the best yet!!!! Lois

Where will you be Friday Night 9/21/12
Port
Grandma4ever & Tiggerssidekick
Livingis2me & nenner1

Hyatt (MCO)
WDW
Other

This is just a start and can be altered/changed at any time. Just let me know what you think you will be doing that friday night. I will add you to the list and if plans changed let me know and I will correct it. As we get closer we can use the list to assist in making plans to get together the night before maybe to share a meal or just to sit by the pool and relax.

OK so I began a list. Just keep in mind that this will be an on-going project and all listed are subject to change. For example we do not know if we will make the two day drive or if we will fly. But this is a place to begin. As we get closer I can add the name of the resort or hotel that we each may be staying in at well. The master list can be found on page 1 Post 12. Happy planning, Lois

Thanks Lois! As soon as I get Post 1 pimped out, I will link it up there.
I have started working on it! :) So watch that space for improvements very shortly!

So, we will be doing Fish Extenders right? I'm happy to volunteer keeping that list, unless someone else was hoping to. :goodvibes

Another Sept 2008 Double-Dipper checking in! Saw Kimberly posted this on her FB page and decided to have my sister the Disney-specialist TA look into it... then jumped on the booking. What the heck, right? Not sure we'll be able to make it work, but I'm gonna try!

Harold (the husband)
Dexter (the boy - 10yo at sailing)
