Yesterday we stayed around at camp then headed over to Universal for the 2:40 showing of The Croods: A New Age at the Cinemark theatre, with their nice plush reclining seats, kinda like the ones back home, but there’s are leather.

After the movie we went into Studios and rode the Hogwarts Express from Kings Cross over to Hogsmead.



After it was dinner and dessert. Although dessert could have been a meal by itself.

From left to right Brownie milkshake, That’s Mint milkshake and Chocolate X5.
Comes in a souvenir plastic mug.

We will make it over to the beach at some point today.

Stayed at camp other than some running around lil medic and I did in Cocoa. Just had a strong thunderstorm roll through. Lot of downed tree branches, and trees.







Group of Boy Scouts came in today, some didn’t stake their tents down very good and they made it over to the dog park.







Have to remember to check the weather before you head out. These campers lost their awning.



Went over and helped the youngsters through it in the trash.
Had a tree branch fall on top of the ez-up and another on the car but no damage.

Another round of severe storms coming through today starting about 11:00 and ending at 4. Got everything picked up that would blow away and tent and ez up staked down good. Laundry room right behind us if we need shelter.

Im bad with that i forget to bring mine in. It dosent help that i have clip on lights also. I saw pictures of them ripped off campers, and then swing upwards and put holes in the roof. I should probably be more self aware of this stuff.

Trip has looked like a very good time.

Chris friend of ours who gave us a ton of info when were looking for our 1st MH had one with wind sensor. They claimed it worked great rolled it in when the wind hit danger level but not before the multi inch rain storm that preceded the wind had torn the canvas to shreds.
Our rule of thumb If you think it might need to be secured it does. Just saying

Went out and walked along the beach in Cocoa so lil medic could collect shells. And made tacos for dinner.

This morning we had breakfast burritos made at camp then lil medic went and took our last trip out to Universal and The Springs. Crowds where a lot better than they have been.

Tomorrow we start packing up as much as we can so we won’t have to much to do on Thursday when we pull out of Mims KOA and head to.....

We have arrived and set up at




Yep, with all the times we have been in Florida this is our first time in the Keys.

The site is a inland tent with water and power. We are next door to the restrooms and showers, and across the road from us is the boat docks.



Lil medic has already gone and sat on the dock. Our site is about 20x20 and no real room to set up like we normally would so just the basics.






So far we are enjoying the campground, when we get a chance to do some exploring I will post my thoughts, but from what I have seen already,

We did go for a short 2.2 mile drive into town to do some shopping at Publix .

Yes it is we are in site 88, here is another at dock site.

Should have noticed the "down" the road. Just watched a YT video on Boyd's just last night. Teresa is trying to see what we can do about a reservation in 2022. We look forward to your take on Boyd's.
