Nice visit this morning with nephew and his wife after we signed the land transfer papers making them the "official" land owners of part of my childhood homestead. They are SUPER excited to be moving from the urban Houston area to "the country"; makes me smile to see them so happy. Now I need to find the perfect DISNEY housewarming gift for them when their house is complete. (They got engaged in front of the Castle and were married at the GF Wedding Chapel.) Guess I need a shopping trip to Disney Springs!

so we got a dog the other day

its not the type of dog i wanted to get but she seems to fit in really well with the kids
and we named her Minnie
she is a chihuahua mix but we are not sure with what, she is a rescue dog

Yes...VERY fortunate he wasn't badly hurt! Still has a slight headache and resting again today (a few sore muscles) but ready to get to work repairing his truck!

That picture of James and Minnie on the couch is precious! BEST "boy and best friend" picture EVER! Our rescue dogs have always given us joy! Amanda would have turned our back yard into a kennel if we'd have let her! Now..HER back yard is a kennel but we sure did love our "herd"! Enjoy Ms. Minnie...she'll bring you many smiles!

LOVE the doggies...especially Bear! We had a Little Bear that belonged to Treavor and Sara and she was a sweetheart! Hooray on the snow! I THOUGHT the weather map put some snow in your area but wasn't 100% sure. That's a good way to start the winter season! We just had a nice rain shower and a temperature drop of almost 10 degrees! MUCH appreciated ; will make for some good "football weather" this evening!

☺ Love my grand-babies...Ms. Katie called about an hour ago with a "request'..."Mimiiiiii....would you make some Halloween Spiders for me this afternoon and bring them to the Dora Building before 5?" "Halloween Spiders" would be a dish I used to make her and Allie when they were little. Cut wieners into bite-size pieces and shove 3 to 4 broken pieces of raw spaghetti in and cook. They loved it...and now it's time to make my delivery!

Meanwhile...a new crop for this evening...

I think they said this is the most snow we've ever gotten in Oct. We usually don't get anything until after Halloween.

My dog, Bear, is a blind, foster hospice dog. I got him over a year ago and had to take him in for an annual check up he has lived so long. They took him off his meds and said he looks great. He's a really sweet dog. Bumps into stuff like Mr. Magoo but he loves to chase a ball or stuffed animal!
