Wishes Dessert Party during MVMCP

I was wondering if anyone would recommend doing the Dessert party during the Christmas party. This will be our first time during the Holiday Season. I don't want to miss any of the shows parades etc. So i wasn't sure if the Dessert party would be a good idea or not.
