monana's TR:Fantamic! Dessert Party, pictures added

Isn't it weird that NO ONE seems to RSVP. I mean most of them were brides at one point and know how hard it was to wrangle those things in. We DISbrides need to start a movement.

Over the 4th of july weekend my MOH, threw me an amazing bridal shower. Here's a couple pictures.

This is a sample of the island inspire decorations...

Here's a picture of the food.. oh my gosh everything was SOOOOOO good. Everyone loved the food. My cousins kept talking about how good everything was. and just this past weekend my cousin was craving the lasagna.

Here's a pretty good group picture of most of the guest that were there. the guys were there for a short time at the start, then again when it was over. i think they just really wanted to stay for the food..:rotfl:

here's a picture of my MOH on the very left, with our friend from our highschool times..

that was such a fun time. it was so good seeing everyone in one place. i am so thankful to have her. she's mine.. :flower3:

I'm glad you had a great party! It looks like you have a lot of people that were excited to celebrate with you!

I have that lasagna recipe if you want it! And your welcome. I love you Mo!

I love you so much that I'm willing to look past the posting of a picture of me without makeup :rotfl:

And FYI I don't need to explain that those bags of white stuff on the counter in that picture is flour, salt, etc.? You've all played the shower games I'm sure...

I totally didn't realize that was in the picture.. hahaha, it's a really hard game though.. well besides that male/female name of animals.

Just getting caught up with your PJ. I love all of your choices and the work that you've done so far. Looks like you had a great time & great food at your shower!

Good luck with that BEO. It definitately sounds like the BOC for the drinks is the way to go. And if you can do the 2 tier cake with the secret extra cake I'd go for it.

Everything looks wonderful! That food looks delicious! So glad you had a great time. We NEED to hear more!

My goodness what a handsome/pretty bunch you all are !!!

Hope you had a fabby time at your shower.

Well here is what’s been going on since I’ve last posted.
After long conversations about what do to about the drink issue. It appears that we are going to do BOC. I am really nervous about that, and I am going to ask if it’s possible that our guest just buy their own drinks. I just know that everyone drinks more when it’s free, I know I do…
Here are some projects we’ve been working on since I’ve last been on here…

I don’t think I’ve shown my inspiration for my bouquet, so here it is. But mine’s won’t have all that white ribbon

My bridesmaid/MOH are no longer going to have bouquet, I’ve decided this would look a whole lot better, especially since we will be in Japan for the ceremony.

This is also going to be the bridesmaids/MOH hairpieces.

This is from Hawaii my DF got it for our dads to wear it’s a kukui nut lei

This is the one the groomsmen will be wearing

Here is my shoes for the ceremony, it’s my chance to wear the pink I love so much. Plus I got a great deal, they were $12 at Nordstrom rack, then I added my own little jewels.

I am a huge scrapbook fan, so instead of getting a regular guestbook, I decided to make my own. I saw something like this from another disbride, so I took it and used some of the same elements, added some Disney couples. I also left a space were a 4x6 picture can fit, and I hope I will be able to have a picture of the guest signing the page.

Now this is the part I will need all of your wonderful help.. choosing music is so hard.. my df and I just have some different styles in music. So I want him to be able to have the things he wants, so here’s what we’ve got so far….
Guest Seating (I still have more to pick.. Any suggestions?)
“A dream is a wish” Jim Brickman
Parents/sponsor entrance: Orchestral Suite From The Lizzie McGuire Movie (Score) - The Lizzie McGuire Movie Soundtrack
The male entrance: He’s a pirate from pirates of the Caribbean original soundtrack (can you tell that’s totally my DF’s choice) http://www.amazon.com/Pirates-Of-Th...f3_1?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1217386738&sr=103-1 track 15
The Female entrance: “When you wish upon a star” Jim Brickman
Bride and Father of the bride: NOTHING>>>>> I cannot decide any suggestions????
Sand Ceremony: The prayer in tagalong (Ang Akin Dasal)
Recessional: “The throne room”-Starwars Episode IV (again DF’s choice)

I totally think picking the music has been kinda tricky, well besides the whole BOC vs package, or any other option related to drinks.

Please share where you got those Hair Flowers for your bridesmaids! I love them!

I am thinking of getting our guest book from The Guestbook Store and their pages are like that but I like yours better. Can you give me some info on how you made them, what type of paper you used, etc.

Thanks,

Linda

For the father/daughter dance, I'm still voting for Mona Lisa by Nat King Cole...or pick a Randy Newman song. Is that his name? The guy that did music for Toy Story. I love your shoes...you're so darn creative.

Great flowers, parasols, hair flowers & leis! I can't wait to see your pix!

You can do a cash bar where guests pay for their own drinks. You will just have to pay to have a bartender and a cashier. Not sure how much the cashier is, but I think the bartender is $100.

I made them on a word document. If you PM me I can send it to you. It was super easy to make, and you can change anything if you want.

We havent even started at the reception music, were trying to finish the ceremony music cuz we gotta send that to our WP before next wednesday! yikes!

Thanks. I am waiting to hear from our WP about how much it would cost us to do that. I really think that's what we'll end up doing, because then i won't have to worry about the bill after the wedding.

While my DF was in hawaii, he purchase my wedding band. And it just came in the mail. It was hard to get a clear picture of it with my camera, but i found one online that looks just like it.

One more thing checked off the list of things to do.

Awww plumeria everything! It's so you...I remember when he first told me he asked your dad for his blessing. This was looooong before he asked you. It was totally in the works for awhile. He was looking at a plumeria'd engagement ring.

You guys are so darn perfect. Less your lack of Star Wars enthusiasm. We'll continue to work on that...there's a new movie coming out.
