Aww you are too sweet. People on this board have amazed me with their outpouring of support and thanks for DH and me. I mean really, I am so humbled that you are all so gracious to both of us. It just gives me goosebumps! This is how DH and I serve our country and we are proud to do it. It's not easy, but knowing that the entire country, (including my fellow DISers!!! ) are behind us really does lighten the load and make the days pass just a little bit faster!

For us, this was by far the best dream to close out our trip. It was AMAZING! DH was just shocked. I think I heard his jaw drop over the phone from Iraq... I am sure he didn't ever expect anything from Disney especially for him!

This is a perfect example of just how magical and special WDW is. There is no place else on earth that this could have been possible.

That is so great, DH (army, as well) and I are taking a trip before he's set to deploy, as kind of a treat to ourselves for having to spend the next year or so apart. I'm so glad to hear that they're so good to military

We are retired now (22 yrs with Army) but I know exactly how you feel.

My husband and I were married in 1990 a month before the Gulf War. Because our wedding had been planned for over a year, the Air Force let my husband fly out for the ceremony and then fly right back because his Squadron was deployed to Iraq. The opening night of the war, his Squadron expected 50% losses. They all came back safe. He came home to a heros welcome and even a ticker tape parade in NYC. I look at todays reception that our men and women get when they return from Iraq/Afghanistan and I weep. Hearing your story has made my day and my husbands day. Disney has renewed the magic for me---what an awesome CM to make such a difference in your day/life. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your husband. Keep safe and keep the faith!
