So my texas friends.....what is the weather like in november?

it varies from warm in the 70's and 80's to the 30's and 40's. Ask a couple of days before you come.

Olivia did not want to watch football and I had enough cartoons so we compromised with national treasure

Depends on the exact minute of the exact day. ;)

There was that one year that it was icy on Thanksgiving. Last year we had snow flurries - I remember DS commenting on it while we were eating dinner with my bosses. Remember TX Stadium isn't domed, so you will probably need to wear a jacket to the game.

TX weather is very screwy, but it usually isn't THAT cold on Thanksgiving.

All this talk of teething is such a great segway for my outlet....

it SUUUUUUUUUUUCKS! Avery started with symptoms already about 2 weeks ago, and now Elise has joined her. I thought I still had a while!

Virginia started showing symptoms at about 3 months but her first tooth did not break thru till she was 6 months

Yeah, I have heard (just anecdotally) that babies who start around 3 months absolutely don't get them any earlier, and often later. Ugh!

The girls adjusted age is just under 3 months.... and teething is one of those things that absolutely goes by corrected ages since the teeth have to be formed and don't speed up production just becuase babies are born :) I thought I'd have at LEAST until the CA hit 3 or 4 months, but no luck. They are just plain miserable! Poor Avery gnaws so hard that her finger and thumb on both hands end up absolutely raw by mid-day :guilty:

their are some teething tablets made by Hyland's that are natural and worked really well for both girls. It will help with the gnawing and drooling. Walmart, walgreens, CVS and babies r us carries them.

Nope just me being confused as always ;)

Maybe not! We often talk amongst ourselves and might have said something that was confusing. Tammi did say she would like to go to F&W Festival one day with me and I told her to come on along next year. So maybe that was where we led you astray!

I could take or leave MNSSHP but I really want to sample all the yummy food at the F&WF.

Oh I like the sound of that :yay:

I am so bummed about missing MNSSHP this year, but planning for next year will make it much better :thumbsup2

So who else wants to plan

Sounds like fun, but there is no way I can do a trip in October since we're going August and December. :guilty: And that December trip may end up on the chopping block if the airfare is as bad as I think it will be. (Although December airfare for this year isn't bad at all - around $260.)

I'll have to check them out! Are they a food? I have seen a lot of things (biter biscuits, etc) but obviously can't introduce that stuff until we see how their crappy GI system responds to even basic foods. I'll definitely keep an eye out though, if they worked for your girls. Thanks for the heads up!

ETA: nevermind, I googled them. Not a food at all, just like a medication. I'm definitely game, and will look for them when I'm out tomorrow and look into them a bit! :thumbsup2

O maybe i could do a long weekend next october...

This football game is driving me nuts!!
So that's 3 of us. :thumbsup2

My game starts tonight. I'll be bouncing between that and the Amazing Race.

I guess I need to feed my kids something. These afternoon bday parties really screw up dinner.
