Good evening all !! Ooh I'm so excited lol. DD Louise was on the ITV London news earlier this evening... well, for one second anyway lol. She was chosen to represent her school (along with 11 other kids from Yr 2) at the local Armistice Service here. I did watch out for her on BBC London news, wondering if she wld be on the telly but nope. A friend has just messaged me on Facebook to say that she saw Louise on the ITV London news. So I've just been on their website to look at the news video -

The Croydon news bit starts around the 16 minute mark but you can see her (close-up lol) around the 18:40 mark and again a few seconds later when they laid the crosses. She's the Chinese girl.
They also met the Mayor of Croydon after that (they were invited for refreshments after the service). I had a couple of things to do in town this morning, so I didn't walk with them from school but I met them at the Clock Tower. I did walk back to school with them though. When we arrived back at school, the teacher asked them what was the best bit about the morning. Most of them answered 'food', 'pizza', 'cakes'... and finally, one little voice said 'meeting the Mayor' lol. It was quite funny - I guess kids are kids, eh?
