The buses for the EB Repo were quite the experience! You must have been on the same bus as we were. Were you at the Grand Californian? I'll never forget the bus driver punching the bus... :confused3

Krista

I WISH we had stayed at the Grand Californian. We stayed at the Best Western (which was horrible). But we did have an entertaining bus ride (with the angry Japanese driver). The kids were reminding me how it looked like he was going to ram the portajohns at the port. . . LOL

I'm getting so excited about this trip now!!!:banana::banana: Seems like a fantastic group of people too and can't wait to meet you all. We arrive at the Praktik Rambla in the evening of the 14th so it will be fun seeing everyone else arriving - lots of American accents and a few others odd ones.:):):dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3: Looking forward to meeting old friends and new.

We are off to Florida next week!! :yay:We leave here this coming Sunday for the airport hotel and are flying out to Orlando on Monday 8th. We are there for 6 weeks and have a 7 night Magic Western on the 20th February. :yay: Not planning on doing anything at all, just getting off in port to go for a walk. going to be very lazy. I'm still suffering some pain after eating since the pancreatitis so will have to be a bit careful what and how much I eat!!:eek: Also no alcohol!! Not a problem really, but I did used to like a glass of wine with a meal, and where better than onboard the Magic!! Ah well, at least I will be onboard.:rotfl:

Mouse Update

Several of my friends on Facebook brought to my attention that they personally or know of someone who has had a mouse in their car, and the darn thing ate wires, causing bigger issues! UGH! Well that frightened me as much as the idea that I could see that thing run across my dashboard! So I got two traps set in the trunk and put one-half of the back seat down to help him get to the peanut butter and for me to keep an eye on them without jarring the car. At sundown, he hadn't made an appearance yet. Hopefully overnight!! I won't be driving that car until he's outta there!

Woo hoo!! Congratulations and welcome aboard!

All the mouse wants is to feel a sense of adventure. Never knowing where he/she is going to wake up the next day. Why don't you buy a toy car for it to sit in. Then it can feel like it is on "Test Track".:rotfl:

Okay, we've booked. Two cat 9s...but I've told Allseas to give me 10s as they become available. That will probably happen as final payments become due. My goal is connecting 10s...we'll see !!!

Welcome aboard

Well we finally made it home. Candida is still recovering. Thanks to everyone. Now it will take me a couple weeks to catch up on all the posting everyone has been up to. :surfweb:

The mouse gets it's own motorhome with a chauffeur:lmao:

Jon
Glad you checked in.

Len had a motor bike a few years ago, it lived in the garage all winter, I was NOT impressed with this speed machine and worried constantly all summer(only time I ever nagged Leonard) about him on it.
Any way , can you imagine my delight when he got it out in April and a huge family of mice had taken up residence in the engine.:lmao:
wooooo hoooooo ... that sounds like a plan :woohoo:
Do you know how long it would take to walk from the Ramblas to the port where you are Lynne ....

:scared1: 5am ... would still be nice to get up and see her coming in .... also give us a great start to the day. Is 5am too early for you Lynne? I suppose it will depend on how late we went to bed on the Friday :rotfl:

Don't know if getting up at 04:30 will make me too tired for later in the day .... if I am too excited to sleep (very likely) I may just get up and go see the Magic arriving.

Welcome aboard ... hope you get those CAT 10s !!!
No, that would not be too early, I will have to work it out, google maps are brilliant for that stuff, give me a link for your hotel so I can work it out.

We have 12 nights booked at SSR before the cruise, then afterwards we have a villa for 3 weeks!!

We should be online apart from on the cruise, so I should be checking in and keeping an eye on you all!!!

Good morning everyone. I have been away from here for a long time. I thought I had better get my act together this morning and stop by, check in and see what planning is going on.

We are all still coming, DH, Myself, DSis, DBil and DN and her DH. No grandchildren in tow this time. Not sure I will know what to do with myself to just do adult activities. I am sure willing to find out:thumbsup2

Is there anyone I should meet first? Are there any special gatherings we should consider?

I look forward to meeting you all on-line and chatting over the next few months.

Have a wonderful day
Dee:wave2:

Marilyn, have a great 6 weeks! Sad no wine, but still good times!

We leave for Disneyland this evening!! :woohoo: Dennis said he thinks he may not want to lug along the laptop...:surfweb:.:scared1: No DIS for a week????? We will see if he can leave his Farm on FB for a week! :lmao:

I took grandmother for her three week post-surgery appointment yesterday. He was very pleased with her progress and the look of the long incision. So we're very grateful for that! He wants to see her again in 3 more weeks.

Afterwards, we went to this little country store. Seriously...it's a "country store", too! I felt like I went back in time several years! Anyways, that trip demonstrated to me that I probably should stay with her a bit longer than I was anticipating because she didn't hold up very long. I also need to get her out and walk more to build up more strength. Since the weather is not great for her to walk outside much, I'm thinking we'll need to make some trips to some stores a few times a week. That's the most sneaky way I can get her to exercise it more. ;) Otherwise, she's suggested going to her church to walk the loop in the building. Regardless, she's on the mend!

...They are still at my parent's house because my mom and my sister couldn't part with them! They just love my mom! It's sounds crazy, but they know when she is around and they beg for food!...

With that much love, I'm sure the grandsqueaks are quite happy at your mom's then!

:rotfl2:

I'm sure it feels good to be home after all you've been through in the past few weeks. Let Candida know we're all here cheering for her fast recovery!

Hope you catch your unwanted lodger today Kimberley before he does any damage :scared1::scared1:

As of 3 hours ago, there was no mouse and all the peanut butter. :headache:

Great seeing you back here on the boards, Dee! Thanks for the hotel info! I'll likely publish all the updates I've received by the end of day.

No doubt you'll enjoy exploring your options without the kiddos!

LOL I have to say this amused me so much! Dan has a bike and actually had an accident first day out on it a year ago! I wonder if I could get him to lock it up somewhere with mice?

Oh, I had 2 weeks last year without my farm, ranch and fish tank. Terrible withdrawal symptoms, and I was aboard the Magic too!!!

Since being in hospital though I haven't been back to them, and am managing fine!!!

Have a great time(I know you will!!!)

Out of curiousity, I just checked, and we are the largest single thread in terms of responses in this section, and still growing. Are the mods ever going to close this thread? We're 600 posts above the part 15 thread of the neverending cruise meet, and we're still going!

Did someone actually submit the request to the mods to close it?? Just wondering...

I saw part 4 already started, but not useable till this is closed and the Mod did not indicate when that will be.

I think we stayed one night at that Best Western in 2005...it was bad. We had stayed at Paradise Pier for a few nights before that so switching to there was not fun.

I'm enjoying the stories about the bus driver! :)
