Gay Days live reports......

Wally is the blonde with the "my GOD who, I mean what have I done?" look in his eyes:rotfl2::rotfl2:!!

and might I add that Rosie is lookin' FIERCE (and I totally mean that in a good way!)

No.
Right about then the heat was getting to me.
That day was crazy hot.

The weather was brutal.

We had a wonderful time. We arrived Friday and after check in headed for the Top of the World, fully intending to be brave and introduce ourselves to O'Mike. ::yes::

When we arrived, our Rob and Scott were there... a moment's hesitation on my part and then I said, "SELF, GET OVER YOURSELF!" So I did and we did and all was well!

It was truly great to have an opportunity to meet Rob, and Scott (for more than a wave :teeth: ) Mike (who IS the barkeep extrordinaire) John and Jeff, who have convinced us that we MUST do Asheville and Biltmore... ::yes:: and of course ROSIE and her beautiful daughter Tara!!!! Wally was there (and thank g-d we missed the groping stuff  ;) ) and I do believe Jamie and Ben. ::yes:: For a bit there on Friday evening at the Tip Top names and faces were flying around like so many butterflies!

We enjoyed our stay at BLT and would do so again for a weekend (Gay Days next year?) but prefer the set up of the villas at Kidani, or OKW. (But you KNEW we'd say that).

We ran into some old friends from NY after the Country Bear Jamboree (and trust me on this, if you never have, or don't like this show [as I don't like it usually] you MUST do it when the bears and all the boys are in town. It's an experience that can't compare)! :teeth:

We didn't know our friends were down, and they didn't know we were there! Too wild that we met up without plans, eh?

We didn't do much in the way of dining out, instead spending our money on drinks. :teeth: We did have the filet and goat cheese flat bread at Mike's and it is very nice! ::yes::

We love the margaritas at the Cave in Mexico. Pricey, but boy are they nice. We spotted some of you in your drink around the world tshirts. ::yes:: And even saw the kilted one! :teeth:

Maybe we saw CanadaGuy too? Not sure... but whoever he was in the red Canada shirt, he sure was a nice guy.

For the 5th/MK day we had the "Marriage is so Gay" shirts. Mostly recieved great comments, or big smiles. There were the few lemon suckers out there, but they got BIG smiles in return.

So, all in all it was a wonderful weekend (if too hot) and next year we are thinking we'll stay until Monday so we can really enjoy EPCOT.

Oh, and my wife has the right idea. She says next year she's wearing a white tank top that says, "This IS my red shirt" as the red was TOO HOT!

Hope you all arrived home safely (I know you and Tara are still there Rosie)!

I really enjoyed meeting new friends and catching up with existing ones! I had a great time and sort of bummed to be back at work.

Although when I got in this morning, my boss (a decidedly NON-Religious guy) told me that he didn't think he was ever going to go to disney again since his friend (a REALLY religious guy) took his family to WDW this weekend and was completely put off by the "graphic and offensive shirts." As I am still feeling under the weather, I gave him a look and said, "Really, I didn't see anything I would have found too offensive for my children, but I wonder why [-ultra Baptist friend's name here] felt the need to go THIS weekend, of all 52 weekends a year." Then he didn't want to talk about it anymore.

I find the dirty looks and sneers from the narrow to be more offensive than any red shirt. It totally brought down my Disney high from our AMAZING Drink-A-Long yesterday. Send the good vibes my way today; it looks like I'll need them.

Hey Girl! ;)
Positive Blonde thoughts coming at you.

Wish there had been better music to dance to! :sad1:

Thanks Wally. I had a blast meeting you. :lovestruc And we proved everyone wrong.... the universe didn't collapse at the meeting of the two blonde bombshells. :cheer2:

LOVE LOVE LOVE finally seeing everyone!! What amazing memories you all made. One day she & I will be there for Gay Days! :thumbsup2

Blah, I'm about to head to the airport. I don't want to go home yet!! I am glad I am off tomorrow too. Only thing I don't like about these trips is that I never get to sleep in on vacation! So tomorrow is my no alarm sleep in day. Although there was a part of me last night thinking maybe I should change my flight and stay another night.:thumbsup2 I really had a great time, as usual. I can't wait to get home and go through my Photopass pics as well as the ones on my camera.

Hang in there girl! You'll make it through the day!! I was able to ignore most of the looks and jeers. I just smile.

It was easier to ignore the jeers and sneers at the parks than the in your face comments at work. Maybe my shirt next year will be "I find Baptists offensive." or something like that.

I had soooo much fun with everyone this weekend. And I consider our Drink-A-Long a HUGE success!:cool1::banana::woohoo::cheer2::grouphug:

Travel safe, Jim.

I agree, in fact, I think we should make one that says "your religion offends me"

I'm sorry we missed it! I thought I would run into you guys, but we didn't. We'll definitely have to do it next year.

I'm useless today at work, so I figured I post some pics :rotfl:

All these pics are great! I so wish I could have met everyone too!

Great pics, Muggsie!

Mr. Z, we are all going to have lunch with Gypsybear & his DP when we get home. It will be our very own mini-Gay Days!

LOVED this last batch of pics. Everyone looks great. And SOMEONE's son (JSG)got TALLER! Wow!!! :;)

Let us know when you get back and yes, we'll set something up somewhere so we can hear all about y'alls trip.

Then we can talk about how I'm being forced to make serious plans for our Gay Day's trip in October. Trying to juggle 6 people and getting as all around the parks to see World of Color, Fantasmic!, Two dining plans to accomodate WOC and Fantasmic! as well as Club 33 dinner and to top it all off, Mickeys Halloween Party on Friday night which will be a hard ticket event at DL for the first time EVER. It's always been free and for some reason (money and to piss off all the DL regulars), they're deciding to follow in the footsteps of WDW for this. I have a feeling this will blow up in their faces.

Ugh.

Anyhoo, Can't wait to see you all!
