PTR:Moving to WDW & Earning Your Ears! (TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!) 8/14

Love the practice packing!!! NO, wearing the same shorts from the night before is not gross!!! I have been known to do it myself! Congrats for getting all your stuff in 2 carryon size bags, that is impressive!

I LOVE the disney parks dvd!!! I have the Magic Kingdom one, I bought in when I went in April! I watch it over and over to give me that fix until I go next summer. As for the Kingdom Keepers book: BEST BOOK IN THE ENTIRE WORLD! Even better than Twilight!!!! I have read the first 2 and am now about 2 chapters into the 3rd! I absolutely LOVE all the different characters!!! You should definantly buy the other two!!! Anyways, i'm in! Can't wait for more updates :) P.S. I love the new vera :)

Practice packing! :rotfl: Love it! It makes sense! I'm impressed with what you ended up with. :thumbsup2 Wearing the same shorts the next day is just fine and 50% off is an awesome find!

Hope your week gets better!

I think doubling up on shorts is A-ok!! I do it ALLL the time!

I cannot WAIT to take Princess Aileen to her first BB appointment. Girl just needs to get some hair! :lmao:

And I am totally going VB shopping whis week!

Thanks! Good thing now and now in 3 weeks right?!

When I first read that I was like wait..Trent.and then I kept reading haha :rotfl:

I enjoy 1 as well! It's sooo hard to do sometimes because it must be princess perfect! My favorite one to do was POP but I maybe did less than 30 the whole time I was at BBB.

I dont think Trent would go for that :lmao:

I meant to say I booked the crown package. She is going to bring a princess dress from home as the castle package is way too much :scared1:

I think wearing the same shorts two days in a row is fine :thumbsup2

Cute bag :cutie:

Okay good :thumbsup2 I've never done a rolly suitcase as a carry-on before. I pray it's not too big so I'm not the idiot standing in the aisle holding everyone up! On my flight back to Dayton in March, they were offering people with carry-ons to check one of them free of charge due to a small plane and it was small!!! I would be willing to do that if it came to it!

I've watched all of them so far except Cruise Line but I've seen it on Travel Channel before! I have 3 copies of Twlight and haven't been able to start them :rotfl:

Great :thumbsup2 Week has gone better so far. Tomorrow is Water Day for my Pre-K kiddos..17 kiddos, all that sunscreen + pools..help us haha!

Aww, I can't wait to see Princess Aileen's pictures as a BBB princess!! I was at Mason Lib. today and thought of you! I also drove past that boutique place that sells Vera (on my way to get a milkshake at UDF of course)!!!

I dont think Trent would go for that :lmao:

Haha, I didn't think so either! Crown package is: Hair, Make-up, and Nails. She'll get to keep the special hair pieces, make-up, face jewels, and she can pick 2 bottles of nail polish or fake nails (PLEASE make her choose the nail polish not the fake nails..those nails stay on for maybe 5 mins and will come off when you wash your hands!)

Thank you for posting the BBB pics! My daughter will love BBB but it won't be this trip. Maybe in January for the half-marathon trip? We'll have my parents along so my step-dad could help my DH with the boys and my mom could come to BBB with Jessica and me. Hmmm..... Just thinking out loud! :rotfl: It is great having a daughter for all the girlie princess stuff. I was a total tomboy (I have 3 brothers) so I'm really enjoying all the pink princess stuff this time around! princess:
That's awesome that you can just do carry-ons. I'm the queen of "what-if" so I tend to overpack a bit. On this trip we'll have washer/dryer so hopefully I'll be able to restrain myself! :rotfl2: My kids will definitely go through 2 or more outfits per day so even with laundry I'll need *some* extra stuff. And some extra bathing suits since nothing will dry in Florida in August!

YUM!! I love UDF!! Can you believe we were hear VERY close to three years before we got a milkshake or ice cream UDF? What were we thinking?? I'll be at the library tomorrow. The kids check out movies each week and they are due back tomorrow. ;) With all of the things in Mason, West Chester, Fairfield and such, I rarely go to the mall anymore!

I agree with the whole drying thing! We were in CO in June and we would put our swimsuits out to dry and come back in an hour and they would be totally dry, it was crazy but I guess no humidity which was nice!!
I would love a washer and dryer in any hotel room! We had one in our CO condo and we loved it! I did 2 loads of laundry before we came home which made it nice to have clothes for the rest of the work week!

Your welcome with the BBB pics!!

Aww, I missed ya by a day! I put a Where's Waldo book on reserve since my kids have decided they LOVE WHERE'S WALDO! Of course they called an hour after I was at the library since they couldn't find it early that morning. My lunch is from 1-2 and I took 3 Disney DVDs out today so I guess I could go and return them and pick up the book seeing as they told me they will ONLY HOLD IT FOR 3 DAYS! lol. :rotfl:
So if your kids want Pocahontas II, Tarzan II, or Winnie the Pooh's Greatest Adventure let me know haha.

Oh cool

Thanks for the tip about the nails. I will pass that on to her mom :goodvibes

Great job on the practice packing! :thumbsup2 I love that VB duffel! I just got a new VB purse in the Bali Gold pattern that was on clearance. I love it! :lovestruc

I heading over to check out your new PTR now!! popcorn::

Well you need to get on reading that!!! I am so excited!!!!!

Yes, I will! My Praxis test is on the 24th so I will be hitting my "fun books" hard after that!

I'm not one to say that everything under the sun should be picked out for the princess but I would 100% pick the nails if I had a DD, no matter her age!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY DIS!!!!

The week is half over--thank goodness!! :thumbsup2 Today was Water Day for my Pre-K class. Picture this: 1 blow up pool + sprinkler ball + 17 kids = a crazy 45 mins outside!! We made it through with only 1 injury--fall to ground so that is a good day in my book :thumbsup2 The best part is that the kiddos go down for nap at 1pm, by 1:15pm, all but 3 were asleep and by 1:35 they were all asleep :thumbsup2 Water Day should be a daily activity for Pre-K :rotfl:

SCHEDULE DAY 2 cont.

When I left off, I was finishing up day 1 and starting a little bit of Day 2. In case you don't want to go back and re-read or you have forgotten, I'll recap the start of Day 2.

Wake up: 8:00am. We are hoping to drive through the city of Atlanta the night before since there will be little traffic. If not, we'll be leaving by 9am to tackle the Atlanta traffic.

SIDE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE DRIVEN FROM THE NORTH COMING FROM THE MID-WEST, HAVE YOU STAYED AT A HOTEL JUST SOUTH OF ATLANTA, IF SO, SOME SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT FOR NORTH AND/OR SOUTH OF THE CITY. WE WERE JUST GOING TO WING IT BUT SOME IDEAS ARE GREAT TOO!

May205.jpg

I've Map Quested from Atlanta to Yacht Club and it will take approx 7 hours. If we leave at 9am, we should be there by 5pm (allowing for traffic, gas, potty breaks, and lunch).

Soon enough we will arrive in FL and hopefully I will finally get to drink my OJ!

100_0981.jpg

100_0982.jpg

A few hours later and we will be seeing:

5pm (or earlier) Finally we will be pulling into Yacht Club and checking in!!:

009.jpg

And maybe go swimming?!

063.jpg

Now here comes the debate! The first night we have decided to eat at Yachtsman Steakhouse. I wanted and ideal ADR for 7:15/7:30 so that we could eat and still make Illuminations outside. Well, when I went to make ADRS the only times were 6pm and 8:10 so of course I had to take 8:10. Not happy with that time, I kept looking. Finally the other night 6:55pm popped up and I snatched it! It would be ideal for us to eat at 6:55 and seeing as if we check in by 5, we should be able to check-in, unpack, shower, and be at dinner by 6:55...now what if we have traffic, accident, construction, etc? I'm debating about keeping both ADRs until that day, is that horrible?? I would call and cancel the 8:10 as soon as we knew so perhaps someone could snatch a walk-in ADR?

Depending on the ADR, we will be eating at Yachtsman Steakhouse!

DSC00516.jpg

After that, we will be watching Illuminations at 9pm (hopefully!)

181.jpg

When the show is over, we will maybe explore YC/BC/BW, maybe swim, and get some rest for our busy Sunday of parks!!

WELL THAT'S IT FOR DAY 2!!!!

*SIDE NOTE: WHAT DO YOU USE TO UPLOAD PICS? I NORMALLY USE PHOTOBUCKET (BULK UPLOADER) BUT FOR SOME REASON IT'S NOT LOADING MY FILES TO CHOOSE BULK UPLOADER. ANYONE ELSE HAVE A BETTER SUGGESTION THAT'S FREE??!! THANKS!!!!

SCHEDULE: DAY 3!

Sounds like a good day 2 plan

Just be careful if you keep both reservations.

Since they are so close, they might get cancelled by the reservation system

I was changing the time on one of my adrs, but didnt want to cancel original until I knew I had later one

When I went to do it, some box popped up saying there was a conflict and that I had to cancel other one first

:goodvibes

Thanks!

I tried to do that before too, to book 2 different ADRs for around the same time and I got an error message when I went to book the 2nd one because they have to be at least an hour apart. The one ADR is 6:55 and the other is 8:10 so I was able to have both! I'm hoping we will make 6:55 so we can watch Illuminations on the bridge at 9!

You *should* be able to make the earlier ADR. In April we ate at Yachtsman and I was able to get an ADR without a problem. The trip was booked on short-notice (a work-conference at YC) so I was a little worried about ADRs. We ate at Yachtsman on a Friday night and got the time I wanted.

HAPPY THURSDAY DIS!!! THE WEEKEND IS ALMOST HERE!!!!

I don't know about you all but I'm ready for the weekend. My kiddos at school today were out of their minds. We had 3 class time-outs, they lost outside time (it was too hot to go out anyways but it kind of taught a lesson!) and almost lost Show and Tell for tomorrow but they all slept at naptime so I think they earned it back :thumbsup2

With that being said, after my day from you know where, I got home and sat down to dinner and my mom said to Dbro: Tell her your news..
..okay..

He said, a friend of mine that is already down for his CP was able to look at the CM site and locate all the CP's names and training schedules, mine says..

128.jpg

EPCOT EAST!!! First he said Epcot Easy but I'm pretty sure it should be Epcot East. He doesn't know the ride he's at but these are the possibilities..

Ellen's Energy Adventure: (boring IMO)

100_1501.jpg

Spaceship Earth:

spaceship-earth-450.jpg

Mission Space:

mission-space_entrance-web.jpg

And we're not sure but maybe Test Track since it's on the same side:

WaltDisneyWorldEpcotFutureWorldTest.jpg

So I guess his email to recruiting requesting Jungle Cruise and Great Movie Ride were not granted but that's okay. The assignment could always change before he gets down there if one location would lose a bunch of CPs or what-not but for now we will wait and see!

Of the 4 his top 4 would be in order:
1. Mission Space
2. Test Track
3. Spaceship Earth
4. Ellen's

If he has a chance to Cross-train and he's not blown away by his work location, I told him to jump on the chance and he said he would! :thumbsup2

Now for the schedule!

SCHEDULE DAY 3:
Sun Aug 8th
3 Parks in 1 day. I've done 4 before so this will be a breeze!

We will wake up bright and early and have breakfast at:

100_1009.jpg

Isn't it just beautiful?!

We're not sure yet but we will probably drive as it will take more than 1/2 the time than by boat but we will be to our first park by 9am for rope drop:

062.jpg

The park doesn't open till 9am so we will get to sleep in a bit (if that's what you want to call it??)

We will head right to Toy Story, FP it, ride it, head to RnR to ride, ride TOT, ride Star Tours, head back to TSM, and maybe GMR or Muppets.

We need to head out of DHS by 12:30 and drive to our next park because we have a lunch ADR at:

128.jpg

We are eating at:

100_1244.jpg

This was Dbro's choice. Not sure why he picked it but he did none the less. We ate there back in Feb 2008 and enjoy it every time but we really enjoyed France in March so not sure why he didn't pick that. We also love Teppan Edo and of course we can't get into Le Cellier so this will do :thumbsup2

After lunch and maybe a few rides and we will head back to:

100_1010.jpg

and then take the bus to (I dislike driving to MK, then tram, then monorail):

232.jpg

We will ride several rides, eat dinner-Dbro at Caseys, me at either CHH or PB. The park is open till 2am. I doubt we'll stay that late because the next day at 8am is Dbro's DISNEY COLLEGE PROGRAM CHECK-IN DAY!!!!

Schedule Day 4--Move-In day!
